Future Challenge Ideas |

Sometimes when I'm really bored I think of cool challenges the show might do. And because this is off-season and we all could use some distraction, I
figured I'd start this thread to let everyone show their creativity and describe some challenges they thought of.

1. An endurance challenge similar to Guatemala F10, except they balance pots on both hands, both feet and the head.
2. A timed orienteering challenge done in pairs. One group starts when the previous one finishes. Fastest group wins. 3. An obstacle course challenge where one player attempts to retrieve an item while the rest of the other tribe pelts them with paintballs. They are provided swimming goggles so that nobody gets blinded. This is kinda similar to one in Palau and Micro using massive swinging weights. Also, have they done any challenges where you got five seconds to look at a picture and then you had to draw it again from memory? It sounds familiar but I don't remember. |

I've always wanted part of a challenge to incorporate a tribal sailing vessel. I had my hopes up in Micronesia when they showed a
Micronesian style proa in the intro (just before Jonathan's shot, I believe). Granted, that probably wouldn't work very well, since sailing is
such a particular skill and inclement weather could ruin the challenge. Still, it would be cool.

I think it would be cool to do a hanging challenge where instead of having everyone hang from a bar, one partner is standing on a platform and holding onto the
other partner. It's difficult for both partners because the one on the platform has to balance himself/herself while being physically tired. The hanging
partner also has to deal with the pain that comes from it, as well as worry about holding on tightly.

We had a reward challange on the finnish Robinson were the contestants had to guess what time it was and point out where Helsinki is.. (capital of
Finland)... The challange was done alone so that no one knew what the others answered. It was a really funny and relaxed challange but I guess it
wouldn't work on survivor..

I just hope that the return to an island season doesn't mean the return of the endless challenges that consist of everyone swimming out, doing something to
get pieces of a puzzle, then swimming back and solving the puzzle. because those suck to the max.

Don't lose hope. Fiji was an island season, and they had a rather refreshing mix of challenges.

A challenge that has something to do with a balloon.

It didn't have the large, still lagoons that Palau and Cook Islands had, so building and filming challenges would be more difficult. Some challenges definitely did involve swimming (Episode 4's RC and IC, Episode 12's IC, and Episode 13's IC), so I don't think it was necessarily about sea snakes (though I'm sure that was a factor too). |

If there's one challenge I'd want them to repeat, it's Palau's first tribal immunity challenge. Tribal obstacle course, then they had to make
a decision on whether to pick up flint, food, water containers or tarps as their reward (or more than one, or none at all) and all items were heavily weighted
down. Then they had to take their reward items, row out, collect their tribal flag and bring it back to the beach. This challenge was as much about brains and
teamwork as physical strength. That is the reason why Ulong failed this challenge and the season as a whole.

I honest to god could not care less if they just did real simple basic challenges like "First to bring all the pieces of a puzzle from under the other
side of a fence" or "First to solve a this word puzzle"
anything to see the castaways more and less challenges that don't even have barrings on the game anymore. Reward challenges (post merge) are usually bring 2 or 3 people and IC's you can tell just by who's playing...and now with hidden idols they don't even seem as important to the game as the focus on the HII's. Just hurry everything up and show at least 2 minutes of them talking about their families or "If I was home right now I'd be at the swimming pool with my kids yada yada" |

Something like this is more interesting then anything...honestly. Give each one a tablet and tell um to right down what time it is....give them 5 seconds to write down how many votes have been cast....show a weather vane next to Jeff with 4 different colored points and write down which is pointing south....what are the 3 nearest oceans....what day in the game and day in real life is it, in 5 seconds....basic simple yet thought provoking shit that anyone can win. You don't have to have muscles or be a genius. |

I think a giant sized "Go" tournament could be fun, and it would be similar to earlier blindfolded challenges as the other tribe members would be
stand ins for rocks.
