It was so real when you guys started crying.... you knew Ami had to go but it was hard to do. IMO that's what missing from newer Survivor seasons.) My edit hurt me because right from the start, Parvati and Ozzy were calling me "shifty" and people thought of me as erratic and thought they couldn't trust me to stay loyal, but the truth was that I never had an actual solid alliance so I really never betrayed anyone. I think people realized Cirie was devious, but everyone thought they could use her as a swing vote. We should have just gotten rid of her! haha. I think most of the favorites had seen Exile Island. I thought the final tribal was pretty intense with Parvati and Ozzy and also Ozzy and Amanda. I agree, the relationships are not the same as they were back in Vanuatu. I miss seasons like that, too.

As much as it sucked for you as a player, I'm not sure I want to see an Eliza that is safe in the game. Scramble Eliza was so damn fun to watch both times, dodging so so many bullets until finally succumbing (though I was disappointed you didn't win Vanuatu.) But that was IMO part of your problem. Yeah, you never had a solid alliance in Vanuatu. But that meant that you always had to do what you had to do in that season, which is why I can understand Parvati/Ozzy's suspicions (and of course, Amanda/James were just followers of whatever and Cirie would logically want to be in the 3/4 dumb alliance than the 4/4 smart alliance.) Cirie first made an alliance with Yau Man to share idol info and it was a stupid move by Yau Man that made Cirie change alliance. And I have a hard time calling Jonathan's Cook Island game smart. The man is smart undoubtedly but few ever threw their game down the toilet as thoroughly as he did. Amy also wasn't playing a "smart" game in Vanuatu, simply following a recipe: Form an alliance and stay loyal to it. Pulling in Eliza for the first vote and Julie after the merge were good moves but not seeing what Scout and Twila were up to wasn't. I'd call it a good game but not more than that. Amanda's game in China was better.

I think Jeff brings a lot to the show. He is an incredible host, but if he were to leave, I wouldn't want to see Survivor end. That's why I don't think he's irreplaceable, although the show couldn't be exactly the same with anyone other than him.

Being compared to them as people would be a huge insult, but Maggie's gameplay/ability to get all those dumb bitches to do whatever she wanted was good. Although from what I've heard, Leanne was more the one in charge than Ami was.

I don't know about BB but I imagine a cult of personality would be something like what JT did: Almost everyone wanting him to win! If you call it brilliant, you are seeing way too much in Ami's game. 1- Like Cindydindy said, Leann at least shared a lot of the duties with Ami. 2- If it was a cult of personality, it would have lasted longer than F7. As it were, only 2 out of 6 players stayed by her side. 3- Ami should have offered Eliza a F2 deal rather than try to vote her out at 7. Todd and Amanda created a strong alliance in Fei Long and kept the outsiders happily unaware of their place in the hierarchy. Ami and Leann kept Yasur divided into two groups and their alliance fell apart because the outsiders knew where they stood. Why do people blame Queen Ami for Leann's disastrous screw ups, being the fact that she not only kicked Scout out of the F4 alliance without Twila's consent, but TOLD Scout this exactly AND the fact that she insisted the women vote for our dear, sweet Eliza, who Queen Ami was vehemently opposed to voting off. Because it doesn't matter; they were playing together. Like Yul and Becky, Todd and Amanda, Edgardo and Alex and many others, what one did affected both.
