That particular article was taken from a MUCH longer article in the Springfield, Missouri News Leader. I quoted it in its entirety on the other Coach page. You have to understand one thing: talk is cheap. There is a process that one goes through when one is mourning a loss: denial bargaining anger depression acceptance. (Elizabeth Kubler Ross) One does not go through these steps in a neat and tidy fashion, but based on all I see Ben Wade writing? I'd say he's in the bargaining stage of trying to get his old life back. His ex-publicist told him to write letters of apology to EVERYONE he ever hurt. He didn't do it and that article is his shortcut. It's too late for apologies. The only way OUT is through. He destroyed his old life (coaching soccer, multiple girlfriends) and the only part left is the Susanville Symphony. The very last concert of the season is this Sunday June 14th. After that happens? He really has no committments left from his old life (well, until the new symphony season starts in the Fall.) He has stated (I can't remember where) that he wants to make a movie down in the Amazon. His loud mouth brother has stated that CBS has picked him up for Amazing Race and Survivor All Stars. I doubt either of those things are going to happen. Unless he manages to get a government grant he's not going to be doing any filming any time soon. He has no funds.

I'd say he's either going to spectacularly crash and burn or slowly and quietly make a new more anonymous life for himself. Either way? I don't think you'll see this guy in the spotlight in a positive way in a long, long time. He's shot himself in the foot too many times. Sad really, because all it would have taken would have been a little humility early on and he would have saved himself (and us) a LOT of heartbreak.
