Would they count the Tuesday that didn't have an episode as another one since they had a special 2 hour long show on wednesday? I would think that since they were told it would have a format of 4episodes/4episodes/4episodes/3episodes for a total of 15 episodes, they woudn't just eliminat one. So I would think that she would have $200,000 in her pocket so far (if she is indeed getting $50,000/episode).

But comparing this show and it's costs to FRIENDS is just ridiculous. I mean Friends was on NBC when it had the most watched Thursday night week after week... NOW they're the #4 network, and even up against reruns on the other networks it places 3-4th with this show. So advertising money isn't NEARLY as high as when Friends and Seinfeld was on. This show isn't HALF as popular as Friends was/is.

Having 6 actors paid $100,000/episode (which is on once a week - $600,000 for the stars) is less expensive than this show (theoretically, again) if the average salary is $40,000/epi (having some make more and some less.. I just ballparked). There are 4 episodes per week, and 11 "celebrities" competing. I'm not even taking the hosts into consideration either (who would make just over $33,300 per episode). That's 44 salaries PER WEEK. So 44 times 40,000 is $1,760,000 PER WEEK....and that's just the cast. That's also just the first week... this past week there were about 39 salaries to pay, so that would be $1,560,000. If it was just for one episode that you want to compare it to, then fine... it would be $440,000 for this show, but again, we aren't even sure of their salaries... and it hasn't been on the air for 10 seasons. It's just not comparable IMHO.

YES the Friends cast wasn't out in the wilderness surviving 24/7 on their own... BUT neither is IACGMOOH, They are sleeping on cots, they are sheltered, they are given food (yes, sometimes it's rice and beans, but REALLY, that's not so bad), they have water, and they can win food daily. We have no clue what happens fridays and Saturdays as they don't show 3 competitions monday for food. Maybe they all eat normal food those days... It's really just like camping... with the competitions the only difference. Janice doesn't even participate in any of them, lol. She gives up before touching any of the creapy crawlies, or she is exempt. I 100% give props to the "celebrities" that actually do the competitions, I wouldn't do half of the things they do. Anything physical... fine, but with spiders and that... not so much. The challenge with the tunnels for tonight... FORGET IT. I'm a little claustrophobic... so NO THANKS. BUT really... it's not as hard as some people bitch about. Daniel said it himself. It's not what these people maybe used to, but it's really not that tough.

I would think that $50,000 per episode is PLENTY... I mean it's not like they are the only person getting paid. There are 10 other people to compete against... NBC wouldn't spend over $5,000,000 in one month for a show that's still placing 3-4th to the other networks... who are spending WAY less than that with reruns, or sports, or SYTYCD...or the bachelorette... i mean come on.
