180. Jaime Dugan (Survivor: China - 10th Place)
Jaime wasn't a really big character for the first few days of China. She was basically the token hot girl (because all the other girls were pretty fugly, going into the game. I mean, the second hottest was Manhanda of all people.) And as the token hot girl, all she needed to do was sit around and look pretty. That was the extent of her early edit. But then, at the swap, her edit picked up and she became the dumb bitch that was meant to make Peih-Gee look good by comparison (making Jaime the Heidi to Peih-Gee's far-superior Jenna M.). Jaime couldn't keep a straight face and she found it just so very, very funny that the two new guys were screwed by the swap, since Zhan Hu was just going to throw the challenges. Jaime's "dumb girl" edit continued all the way to her boot episode, which was hilarious in that it was so obvious that she would go home and look stupid doing so. She played a piece of wood, thinking it was the hidden immunity idol, and it was the first ever instance of Jeff throwing a fake idol into the fire. But she overcame her early image with a jury question where she actively wanted to know what strategy the players had used to reach the final tribal council, so that was a cool turnaround.
179. Joel Klug (Survivor: Borneo - 11th Place)
Joel was really the first alpha male ever to be booted before his time. I mean, Dirk could be counted, by Dirk's hardly an alpha male. Joel was probably the only real strategist that Pagong had (aside from Greg, and Greg was crazy-awesome), and as such, he was one of the first casualties of a tribe synonymous with a complete lack of strategy. Joel ranks high on the list because he was one of the first Survivor strategists in the same vein as Richard and Stacey, but he just wasn't around long enough to really make a major impression. However, I do feel bad for him because even if he's a bit of a chauvanist, the fact that he got booted, not for MAKING the "women are the dumbest creatures on Earth, next to cows" comment, but for laughing at it when GERVASE made it. That always seemed a bit unfair, but as a woman, I guess I can't feel TOO bad about it. Still, if Joel were around instead of Jenna, then no Jenna on All-Stars, Joel maybe gets booted before the far superior Greg Buis, and hell, maybe one of Pagong takes home the title, changing the course of Survivor history forever.
178. Brooke Struck (Survivor: Guatemala - 15th Place)
And finally, the last of the four boring early boots of Guatemala shows up, and not surprisingly, Brooke outranks the other three by quite a bit. She was the only one who had potential of the four, and her crappy edit was probably the result of a potentially rigged tribe swap that put her in a near-impossible position going up against Steph as a woman who was actually semi-competant, which threatens Stephenie. She was cast as a young law student, perhaps hoping to capitalize on the hilarity of the unkillable cockroach of Guatemala, Eliza Orlins, but Brooke proved to be far more astute of a player, getting into a majority alliance early on with the eventual winner, Danni. There were several members of Nakum she could've easily outlasted, and even in her majority alliance, she had a smaller mini-majority that would take care of business if the tribe happened to lose enough of the challenges. Then the swap came and Brooke was screwed, stuck with the only two members of Nakum NOT in her alliance. She was targetted for bing too much of a potential threat, but if she made it further, I could definitely see her and Danni becoming a power duo.
177. Nicole Delma (Survivor: Pearl Islands - 16th Place)
Nicole's introduction to the world of Survivor was that she was being thrown into the game in a strapless bra with no bra on underneath. I'm not sure if Jeff's "that's gonna make you very popular" line was to her or Jaime, but he's such a pervert. Anyway, for one episode, Nicole seemed to be extremely opinionated about her tribemates, hating Osten for wanting her to flash her boobs in order to get more stuff for the tribe, or leading an attempt to vote out Tijuana, just because she felt that Tijuana was a bitch. Nicole could've easily fit right in with the Morgan clique if she really wanted to and could've outlasted Ryan and Lill, but instead, she decided to stir shit up. She went to Lill in an effort to try and rally support for booting Tijuana, who, as mentioned before, Nicole did not have a positive opinion of. This plan failed, but it bought Ryan and Lill just a little bit more time in the game, which was great because they were the only two really GREAT members of the Morgan Tribe. Also, if I recall correctly, Nicole's the one who said she voted Lill OUT of Loser Lodge because she couldn't stand Lill ruining her vacation, which is absolutely hilarious.
176. Sierra Reed (Survivor: Tocantins - 7th Place)
Oh SNAP! Just when you thought I was gonna zig, I zag! I'm as unpredictable as...an...unpredictable...thing. My opinion on Sierra is basically a bell curve. She started out hated because honestly, I didn't like Courtney pre-show and I didn't like Sugar pre-show, yet despite how good they turned out, I immediately wrote Sierra off because of the fact that she didn't seem to care about winning the money and she was recruited from a taco stand. Don't get me wrong, I love tacos as much as anyone, but don't recruit people from random taco stands. But then Sierra rose in my opinion in the first few episodes when she overcame her early ostracization from the tribe and got into a solid alliance with Brendan, having a few great moments, like building a shelter (however bad it was) and tricking Debbie into believing she and Brendan were building a bonfire pit. She got into the Exile Alliance and coasted until Brendan was blindsided at the final 9. I love that she actually fought to stay in the game, when so many people take the wimpy way out, but she didn't make it much farther one her ally was gone. The downward slope of the bell curve comes from her bitter jury speech and the subsequent comments she made at the reunion which just came off extremely poorly. So her time on the show, basically, was great. But off the show, she sucks, so she gets a middling ranking.
