Posts: 162 (06/16/09 10:55 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Here's the spoilers from someone who attended the taping tonight Spoiler [+] evan and randi - jive by louis van amstel - not bad not good, judges said evan wasn't making his moves sharp enough ade and melissa - jazz by sonya tayeh - awesome. melissa did great and the judges adore ade. pretty true to sonya's style. jason and caitlin - hip hop by shane sparks - kinda smooth hip hop sort of thing. nothing amazing, but not bad. pre dance package showed jason imitating michael jackson as a child. nigel asked if mj had seen it, when jason replied no, nigel responded that that was for the best (or something along those lines) very funny, but not likely to make it to air. brandon and janette - disco - actually enjoyable. very fast and fun, cool tricks. lil'c was very happy with brandon. vitolio and asuka - waltz by louis van amstel - very beautiful. asuka didn't try and lead. vitolio great, but still held his own. max and kayla - pop jazz by brian freedman - a little odd, but good. guy is preforming for a princess but is actually after her thrown. something like that. judges would not shut up about their love of kayla. jonathan and karla - contemporary by Stacey Tookey - pretty normal contemporary but very nicely done. mary said jonathan was better at this than his own style. philip and jeanine - (american?)tango by tony meredith - meh probably the worst of the night. did what they could to salvage it but lacked a lot in technique. kupono and ashley - hip hop by shane sparks ashley is kuponos shadow. not so hot on this one either. not too clean. not impressed.

I don't know what to think of certain "advantages" certain people are getting. I would be upset at the free ride Melissa/Ade are getting with styles (contemporay/ballet dancer getting contemporary and then jazz? Hardly a challenge). But they need a little boost since neither of them were featured. Also, Stacey Tookey's choreography is too good to waste on a couple like Karla/Jonathan, but they also need a boost. I figured Phillip/Jeanine would suck in ballroom; but they are most likely safe. I still don't get why people like Jeanine. They seem like Hok/Jaimie all over again. Both very one dimensional, and both recieving way too much adoration from fans (on this show). Of course, that's if their tango is as bad as it seems. I really hope a waltz is enough to save A/V.
