Yeah, but based on your own logic, because JT is such an extremely positive force, when he says Erinn is a bitch for what she said to Coach, and he stands up for Coach, that makes Coach look good, and it makes Erinn look bad.

As for the Sucks polls, well, they reflect the sometimes idiosyncratic opinions of those Sucksters that participate in them. If people find solace in those results, that's great - I wouldn't lose sleep if your own favourite contestant does poorly in the poll, however.

The Shamrocks were formed in the early season (before the recap, I believe).

Erinn did not winn. That does NOT mean she should have been written off edgically by Ep4 or Ep5. Yes, edgicers make a single selection on the voting site for the winner after the merge. Once again, that does NOT preclude the fact that Stephen and JT and Erinn were all still alive edgically at the merge and onward.

True, but a lot of us (myself as a big example) do still use a Top 2/3 after the merge just for the hell of it, even though we only vote for one each week on the site obviously. I don't think I ever technically voted for Erinn post-merge, but she was always still on my radar. There was nothing official to edgically eliminate her. I could be wrong, but I always am.

Why would people be rooting for an N person to stay over another N person. Because the editing made you feel some sympathy for one despite being really weird (which contributes to OTT, not N), making them M. The people I refer to are Coach and Erinn obviously.

Well< i'll be taking off for South Dakota within the hour here. I hope some progress will be made while I'm gone.

No, the editing attempt was not to make us root for Coach to stay over Erinn. It was meant to redeem him slightly, but it was supposed to be a big relief when he left.

Erinn was correctly marked as UTR for both episodes. She appeared in one small segment and that was it. Jerry also should have been UTR for the first episode, the two of them had fairly equal time in the episode as far as I can remember.

Erinn had a poor start and she didn't have any connections to the end game. She just happened to luck into her position and that's all there is to it. She should have been eliminated Episode 1 and failure to eliminate her at any point does not mean anyone is right. Her edit was poor all season and certain people gave Erinn different edits for each episode because they liked her and wanted her edit to reflect that of a winner, and give them reason to keep her in their rankings.

I think Erinn should have been MOR2 in the premiere, but there were a lot of bad ratings this season so I understand why she wasn't.

I go by my chart, obviously. I didn't see MOR for either of those episodes whatsoever. I gave her more UTRs than on the official chart. But the official chart reflects the Edgic consensus. Based on my choices, Erinn was edgically eliminated very early, thus I eliminated her. I'm not going to keep someone in the running, for example (this isn't an Erinn reference, either), if they get UTR on the official chart but INV on mine. If they're INV on mine, they're eliminated, no matter what the official chart says.

And after Gabon a lot of people thought we should change the rules, but based on my chart, Bob was edgically viable (no INVs, only 1 OTT and it was mid-season, I gave him MORP ep1), the only problem he had was too much P. I gave him a CP for all but 1 episode in the merger.

Which really isn't that bad, considering the merge started at his first CP and he only went to like 3 TCs out of 8 pre-merge. Interesting to note that on the real chart he only got 1 CP, and I gave him 4. So, to me, no real edgic rules were broken other than tone, but to someone who gave him zero CPs and INVs (like you), you'd see an issue with edgic for that season. We all have different opinions. So I encourage people next season to keep a chart!!

Point I'm trying to make is that hopefully for future seasons people maintain their own charts, and refer to their own, rather than the official chart which reflects all of our charts together. Some people see things differently than others, and it's a good way to record it if everyone does their own thing.

Yeah dude, I know, I've been keeping my own charts just as long as you have. From Fiji to Tocantins.

You think 4 UTR1's in the first 8 episodes "isn't that bad"? And only one episode out of the first 8 was above a 2 in visibility. That's insanely bad. His edit was like a much more UTR, but much more P, version of Parvati's or Chris'. He wasn't "edgically viable" either, it's so revisionist to say that. Nobody ever considered him except for Kitty, and the only time he ever appeared on the Contenders chart was right at the penultimate episode, and Kitty was 100% the only reason why. He wasn't edgically viable, otherwise someone else would have caught on.

Bob was edgically viable though. Good episode 1, hidden pre-merge, no INVs, good merge episode, and consistent post-merge. Erinn was edgically viable too.

My post wasn't in relation to you, I know you keep your own charts. It was to everyone, although some people are busy enough and can't make charts which I understand.

Bob I eliminated because of tone, I wish I hadn't because the MOR/UTR premerge and CP merge is a classic winners edit. Bob was a bit low on visibility though. Wasn't horribly bad, in the end. Erinn, on my chart, had 2 CPs before the finale. Bob's were in a row. Hers weren't. Regardless of tone, Erinn was eliminated in my books. So in my eyes, Bob's edit was better than Erinn's.

*Interesting to note that Bob and Erinn had the same visibility count (if you add their numbers), and Erinn got her higher numbers pre-merge and Bob's were in the merge. So were people supporting Erinn because she was like Bob, or did they ignore her lack of visibility and complexity? Would SEG really give two winners in a row with unwinner-like edits?

I don't read spoilers, dammit! Everyone's edit had flaws, and I didn't think evil (Ken would win), I knew Susie and Sugar, with pisspoor opening edits, wouldn't win, and I really didn't want to see Matty win, so I picked Bob as the good winning Gabon.
