Looks like love is in the air for Toni Collette's male alter on United States of Tara.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. I wasn't impressed by her at all in Doubt. I mean, she showed up and did her job. I guess I am meh about it.

OMG I am so glad that Toni Collettegoddesss got nominated for an Emmy. I seriously would have rioted if she wouldn't have.
It got nominated for some other stuff too, like casting and the opening titles (which it definitely deserves). |

Who else is in the cateogry? I can't imagine any performance this year beating Toni, except for Drew Barrymore and that was a movie so it doesn't
count.

Unfortunately, the Emmys will continue to kiss the ass of 30 Rock, so Fey will probably win again. |

Fey is great, but she's won enough. I think it could be Toni's year. It sure as hell won't go to Kelly Bundy's cancelled show, The Chick From
Seinfeld's cancelled show, or Jimmy Kimmel's cancelled ho.

I'd vote for Toni.

'United States of Tara' exclusive: Joey Lauren Adams falls for 'Buck'Sources confirm to me exclusively that Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy) is joining the Showtime comedy's season 2 cast as Pammy, a funny and warm barmaid who has a history of picking the wrong guys. Her luck changes the day she meets "Buck" and falls head over heels in love. Adams is on board for at least three episodes. Tara's 12-episode second season debuts in early 2010. |

Just watched the first episode... starting the second. So great. So very very very great. I think the opening titles are some of the best I have ever seen.

I like the ending when she dies.
...just kidding :P |

Wait...did she win? Dammit! I was trying to stay unspoiled.
My fault. |

I had her pegged to win it even when everyone was saying Tina Fey. Completely deserved.

As I said in the Emmy thread, Tara is the juiciest role on television currently and she plays it to perfection. It would've been a travesty for any of the
other nominees to win over her.
