9) Sonya Blade MK1
   
*Random fact-Did you know you can spam Sonya's Leg Throw, and your opponent cannot do anything about it?* (Youtube clip will be shown) -Random thought.� I just realize as each game progresses, they continually make Sonya's boobs larger  .� Sonya is part of the Special Forces.� It is a police unit
that hunts down criminal groups like the Black and Red Dragon.� Sonya has a huge rivalry with Kano, because Kano killed a lot of Sonya's partners before
MK1.Sonya gets captured in MK1 and MK2, but then gets rescued by Jax.� Pretty much Sonya works with Special Forces, and recruited people like Cyrax and Kenshi
into the ranks throughout the storyline.� Sonya does hold the title of being the first female in the Mortal Kombat series, and she is pretty tough in that she
keeps on trying to track down people like Kano, Mavado, Jarek, and Sektor.� What a lot of people like about her, is that she is a headstrong tough and
sarcastic woman (although it does get her into trouble).� In some adaptions they did have a storyline of Cage and Sonya hooking up...or Sonya hating Cage's
guts, or both.
Fighting wise, I love her leg throw.� It is such a powerful move as you will see in a youtube clip.� One thing that frustrated the crap out of me (and why her ranking drops a bit), is that they took away her leg throw in MK Deadly Alliance and Armageddon.� That's the equivalent of Sub-Zero losing his freeze move.� What is somewhat strange is that they had her borrow moves from Liu Kang.� She got an inverted bicycle kick in MK3, and then Liu Kang's flying king in MKDA.� I was somewhat disappointed that she was borrowing moves from someone.� I also wasn't that fond of them changing her kiss of death as a fatality...to a regular move, which I found somewhat odd.� Overall though she is a very strong character. |

8) Kabal MK3 *Note*� Did you know Kabal is the strongest character in MK3?� The editors had to tone him down in UMK3. That is partly why I like Kabal, as well as his fighting style.� He was actually my favorite MK3 character.� The dude was fast, and I love his hookswords, and especially his spin move which set up for lots of combos.� The story line is that Kabal was part of the Black Dragon, until events during MK3.� Shao Kahn sent his troops killing people on earthrealm.� Kabal barely survived, which is why is faced is scarred up and why he needed a respirator.� In the end he decides to turn away from the black dragon.� The storyline gets confusing, because Kabal comes back in Deception and he's�the leader of a new black dragon.� Also there was this wierd storyline of how supposedly Mavado killed him with hookswords, but then Havik heals him and Kabal ends up killing Mavado.� Although that part of the storyline is somewhat confusing and disappointing, I still liked him in deception.� Kabal also has some amazing fatalities, I loved his fatalities in MK3 where he inflates the opponents head like a hot air balloon. |

So Kitana isn't really more original than Mileena (If you aren't talking about storyline that is). Jade/Tanya on the other hand are definitely clones, like Ermac/Rain/Smoke/Cyrax/Sektor/Noob/Chameleon are from Scorpion and Sub-Zero. |

Wasn't Mileena a clone of Kitana in the storyline? Clearly the producers wanted another female fighter in MK2 but they were too lazy to come up with an
original design so they decided to make a purple Kitana who would fight with sais instead of fans and they threw in that clone plotline to tie in the loose
end. Thus Mileena is a second-rate character.

Mileena is a G.ODDESS. She may have been a palette swap of Kitana but she pwns her in every way but fighting skill (apparently Kitana has killed her several
times but the bitch refuses to die <3 <3 <3)

Nah. Kitana switches places with Mileena and promptly goes insane whereas Mileena was perfectly fine being herself for years. Therefore, Mileena > Kitana.

7) Quan Chi MK4: I love Quan Chi. Hands down my favorite villain in the MK universe, a lot more than Shao Kahn, Shinnook, or Goro. That guy is such a sneaky bastard and I love it. The guy was first an oni in the netherrealm but learned some sorcery at a later time. The main two storylines was that Quan Chi was in quest for a powerful medallion that belonged to Shinnok and his rivalry with Scorpion. The guy tricked so many people in the process, Shinnok, both sub-zeros, and scorpion to be included. He gave Shinnok the fake medallion and kept the real medallion for himself, he made the older Sub-Zero kill Scorpion in the process, while Quan Chi killed off Scorpion's family. He was also incredibly close to tricking Scorpion in believing that the younger Sub-Zero killed Scorpion's family, but his arrogance got into his way. I love in virtually half of the endings in MK4, someone gets owned by Quan Chi. For gameplay, Quan Chi is incredibly powerful. Loved him in Deadly Alliance and Armageddon. His special moves are freaking hilarious. My favorite one is where he comes from the sky and starts stomping on an opponent's head. He is known to have the best fatality in MK4, but the dumbest fatality in MKDA (which kind of gave him a dip in the ratings). |
