I can separate the art from the artist if:
1) the person doesn't cheat for his "art" (see baseball players and their steroid use) 2) the person harms only themselves (druggies) AND 3) the art produced outweighs the trainwreck they themselves have become (Amy Winehouse) |

I can enjoy The Naked Gun and Towering Inferno because that OJ wasn't a murderer. Same with Jackson. I'm not going to penalize moonwalking Michael on Motown 25 or Jackson 5 Michael for what Michael circa 1993 may have done. |

I wasn't saying that being a junkie is no worse than molesting kids. My point was that all those rockers who died from drug overdoses are not remembered
for the shitty things they did off stage.

If not, then why do we remember Hendrix/Cobain etc. as great musicians rather than just stinking junkies?People absolutely remember the fact that they had drug problems. They can still respect them as people, though, as drug addicts are often respectable people, but child molesters never are. You like his music? Great, so do I. So do almost everyone. If people just left it at that, there would be no problem. But instead we get shit about how we should just forget about the "controversy" and remember all the love he had to give. Fuck that. |

Are they going to give him the kind of wake they gave James Brown? Lengthy and with a different outfit each day?

A lot of artistic people are self destructive, and it hurts the ones who love them too, but it's a whole other level when someone's accused of
molestation. Jackson got by with saying the things he did about not believing it was wrong to have little boys sleep in his bed, when if it was the average Joe
across the street, they would have been ran out of town on a rail. Maybe the kid in the court case was lying, but in the other case he paid big ass bucks to
settle out of court. And you just can't get around the unhealthiness of it all.

I don't think Michael molested little boys. I think it was a matter of extortion and the most innocent things got blown all out of proportion.
I believe Michael missed his childhood and tried to make up for it in his adulthood. Michael just wanted to play like a kid. It's a little odd, but I don't think Michael would harm anyone. |

Mike was insane. Somewhere growing up (or not growing up) he lost his sanity, and remained a 8 year old in his head yet was a 45 year old man. Whatever the
truth may be in his molestation cases, I wouldn't be surprised if he did it. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a slumber party and the boys
saw him change into his pajamas and then tried to make bank on it. I bet there are lots of parents who would try to cash in on that if their son went to a
sleepover at Mike's house.
Is Mike guilty of being inappropriate with children? Absolutely Is he guilty of maliciously sexually assaulting them? We'll probably never know. I say maliciously because I bet he did expose himself, but perhaps not sexually. Like I said just changing into his pajamas with kids around because he didn't care and he just thought he was having a slumber party. The guy was fucked up. A really sad story.

I don't think he was a child molester either. He was screwed up beyond belief because of the abuse inflicted by his father, I saw his weird behaviour as
his way of making up for his lost childhood.
Either way, his legacy as an artist far outweighs the negative stuff. RIP MJ |

How many of you people know a pedophile? These guys are easy to spot because they prey on youngins that are insecure, come from broken families, and don't
have a lot friends. That combination of traits makes it easy picking -- rather easy to gain a child's trust. MJ was a champion at gaining kids' trust
and he wasn't ashamed of it. Any normal guy would want to have other adult relationships, rather than be only with kids. Don't be naive, MJ diddled
where he shouldn't have.
