Who says Carrie isn't a worldwide artist? Back in 2006, she was nominated for best new artist for the WORLD MUSIC AWARDS!!

wow, I'm loving Some Hearts more and more. It's an excellent album, I keep on listening to it and it's amazing. It deserves to be the top Idol
album ever.

Dictatorship wrote: stop calling me Shannon...how many times do you have to be told, seriously? Even when you're doing it in a pleasant way I don't like it. I have never had a problem paying Carrie a compliment-EVER! I like Carrie's music, fuck I own both her CDs so I hope I like it. I think Carrie seems like a shy albeit sweet girl. I have no issue with Carrie at all. eta: I didn't even think about shania...it seems like so long ago that she released anything. I wasn't a huge fan of UP though. Come on Over...now that's a great CD!

isn't that your original username? I get so used to calling people by their usernames and it's hard to get me out of it lol.
Come On Over is a great cd. I fell in love with it for a couple years back in '97, but looking back I think it's overrated just a teensy bit LOL |

Dictatorship wrote: it was my name over at KCE and honestly I shouldn't have ever used my real name but when I started posting on message boards I was pretty naive to how vicious and scary people could be online. Sadly, I'm a pretty open person and don't hide things well so I've shared things about myself that I shouldn't have. Lessons learned and all that. That was never my name here that I recall and even if I used it once it's been at least 4 or 5 years since then. I'm asking nicely that you stop calling me by that name on here. Thank you. It's rare to find a CD that lives up the initial hype and I guess Come on Over is one of those. The only CD that I say never got old for me and never seemed dated or overrated it Jagged Little Pill. That's probably hands down my favorite CD ever in the history of ever. Shyster, I've openly admitted to the nics I've used in the past. how the hell else would you know who I am? I don't try to hide myself. Sometimes I posted under different nics by accident. But that's not happening now because the other nics have been inactivated. This is the only nic I'm posting under for the foreseeable future. I may be wrong but my guess is Quickstart is another as well? if you're asking if I'm quickstart, no I'm not.

dic, i told you so was looking to be her first country failure. It was pretty much done and had totally stalled and it wasn't even in the top 10. If she
hadn't rereleased it as a duet with a country legend it would have been lucky to hit number 5.
They took a gamble with releasing this song since it was already a smash for randy years ago. They figured it would hit number 1 based on carrie's popularity with radio and that she could fart the SSB and it would be a hit. Or so they thought. When it was clear it was going to be her biggest country "failure" they quickly recorded it as a duet and released it to give it some added plays. Hey it worked so hard to knock it right? |

Dictatorship wrote: why can't you call me eraser? that is what I'm posting under after all. you can keep track of who you're responding to, yes? No one calls you by the old name you used to post under (before the big truce) when you were such an asshole so perhaps you could show others the same consideration. Plus, I've never gone by orge so wtf does that even mean? Carrie has never had a song go below #2 on country. Randy Travis got lucky that Carrie wanted to include his song on her album because he is last decade's news. The fact is ITYS was seriously dying on country radio. Stalled right outside the top 10 when they replaced Carrie's solo song with her duet with Randy and it started moving up the charts again. It was pretty shady to say the least and the speed with which it fell was very telling at how artifical that #1 really was IMO. |

LOL quickstart at this revisionist history. I'm pretty sure ITYS was at around #9 when the duet was released, and FYI, country songs climb up the chart SO
SLOWLY always. ITYS followed the exact same pattern that Just a Dream had, except Sugarland leaped Carrie in the last week (same thing happened to Taylor Swift
with White Horse).
