^Because many psychics claim that they can communicate with the dead, and pass on messages to the living. That's why it was considered it inappropiate, and
I would have to agree.

I can't see them canceling the show because some might find a psychic to be offensive. I certainly don't find it offensive at all. If anything they
could have canceled his appearance and spent the hour talking about Farrah and MJ. Every other show talked about it ad nauseum, including the TODAY show. It
was overkill. I don't see why they would give up their chance to cover it.

MsJulieR wrote: I just figured it was because of the MJ/Farrah deaths. It's such big news that it would be pretty obvious when they didn't talk about it, especially after all the talk they did about Farrah being on the verge of death during Thursday's show. By showing an "encore presentation", I think it made it not as obvious that Friday's shows are pre-taped. (I think a lot of viewers don't realize that) Today's show should be interesting though! ETA: Just read that they're on vacation until July 5. Well, hell! Their shit will be old news by then!

^You know Babwa, she'll milk that special she did last week for all it's worth, talking about how it was perfect timing and all. And then Whoopi would talk about MJ and how Black artists benefitted from his career. And then Bitsy would say something PC about MJ. It will not be completely old news, as the whole coroner's inquest and funeral arraigements still have to be done. |

yeah, Sherri has already been interviewed and expressed her love..gag... said when she was younger, she just knew she would marry MJ someday

They showed the psychics episode today, and thought that for the most part entertaining. Joy was skeptical, but in a normal way. sherri, though, looked like
she wanted to burn John Edwards at the stakes, but I guess that's what puritans should normally do. I think that if they allowed witches to be burned today
in America, Sherri would be rushing to creating the bonfires, and be all hallelujah, or sommat.
The expression on Bitsy's face though, when the Tarot card was being read to Whoopi was classic, because the Tarot reader claimed she could sense something from her "little girl". At first I thought she was referring to Grace, but it was the fetus she was talking about. You could tell Bitsy was completely freaked out. |

Wonder what Elizabeth is thinking now that her role model is resigning.
Palin to Resign as Alaska Governor on July 26 By Philip Rucker and Eli Saslow
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) announced this afternoon she will resign from office on July 26 and return to private life, a stunning decision by last year's Republican vice presidential candidate to leave office before the end of her first term. "We know we can effect positive change outside government at this moment in time on another scale and actually make a difference for our priorities," Palin said in a news conference alongside a lake in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. Using a basketball analogy, Palin said, "I know when it's time to pass the ball for victory." Palin, 45, is a major star in the GOP and is seen as a leading candidate for the party's presidential nomination in 2012. Her decision not to run for reelection in 2010 and to leave office imminently came as a shock to Republican strategists today. "We've seen a lot of nutty behavior from governors and Republican leaders in the last three months, but this one is at the top of that," said John Weaver, a longtime friend and confidant of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the party's presidential nominee in 2008 whose of selection of Palin catapulted the first-term Alaska governor to national prominence. Alaska Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell (R), who will succeed Palin, appeared with Palin and complimented her service to the state. |

Hmmm, analogy I would use is rats and a sinking ship. The Republican 'star' governors are going down fast.
