Did the boyfriend in this week's episode graduate and make it to the Air Force? If I was that girl, I'd be pissed off if I had to give up my dream of
being in the Air Force and he doesn't qualify to join since he's a slacker.

They didn't tell us at the end. I was disappointed, I really wanted an update.
And it's not like he could have stayed home with the baby while she joined up, he was completely irresponsible. |

She and Maci (from the first week) were both impressively mature. Their boyfriends, on the other hand, were LOSERS! This kid's parents seemed to ride him
really hard, which is okay, but he rejected it totally. Dude was way in over his head. But I have high hopes for Ebony. She came across as very level headed.
Well, except for the whole teen pregnancy thing. But it was a mistake, and she was making the best of it.

I think the girls have to step up, all the responsibility falls on the girl. We didn't see either of the two of them working though. Maci used her mother
for free childcare she said 15-16 hours a day sometimes.
I think this is a good show for teens to watch. I think too many teens get pregnant on purpose or just don't bother to try to not get pregnant thinking a baby wouldn't be that big a problem (that's what I saw with this couple) and this shows the positives and the negitives (along with the fact that the guy isn't going to be there for you). I just hate hate hate when the girls say "you just shouldn't have sex" so you don't get pregnant. Sex isn't the problem. It's not using birth control (or using it incorrectly) that's the problem. Eventually everyone is going to have sex and they need to understand that sex isn't the problem, it's unprotected sex that's the problem. Even if these girls were a year or two older and married to their boyfriends it would be irresponsible for them to be pregnant and just as hard for them to deal with the babies. |

Heck, it's hard at 35! But at least by your 20s--30s you've been taking care of yourself longer, and don't just expect your parents to pay for
stuff, drive you places etc.

Or you have the ability to pay for childcare. . .

From what I've seen the boys look like total retards and probably need to be put to sleep. The father of Ebony's kid, he looks like he has the IQ of a
goddam gnat.

The one thing Ebony had over Maci was at least her boyfriend was trying to be a good father, he did not take Ebony out on the quad, endangering her and he even told her he was going to try to be the breadwinner. Coming home late from school is much different than coming home late so that you could hang out with your friends. I give a little more credit to Ebony's boyfriend, who was at least making an effort, graduated on time, and was going to find an income. Farrah's fiance at least was working extra shifts and had the decency to marry her. He also helped the most with childcare. Maci had the worst baby daddy so far. He probably would have abandoned her if his parents weren't trying to encourage him to work things out. |

At the end of the episode did anyone else find the baby swinging in the swing kind of disturbing? I was afraid the baby was going to fly out b/c the swing was
swinging so fast.

Being unsupportive is telling the girl that she needs to move out and not giving any financial support. These girls just wanted their moms to raise their kids. Ebony received the least amount of parental support because her mom worked and couldn't stay with the child. Ebony's boyfriend needed to join the military. He's the type that the military would do a lot for. |

this is just one of the most depressing shows i have ever watched - none of these children are even remotely prepared to be parents and i don't see any of
them having the drive to finish school and make a better life for these babies - i do see a whole lotta welfare checks in their futures

And the redhead who had the baby.... the way she just left her newborn on the couch crying was driving me nuts. It is like they have no concept of how to treat an infant carefully. |

Ok, I'm half way through and Whitney is a total brat. Can't even take care of herself before the baby is born.

OMG that one last night was depressing and infuriating. 4 generations living in a 2 BR rented modular home?! Hopefully (but not likely) baby Weston will break
the chain of being a white trash loser.

I missed the beginning, but was Whitney's mama married to her baby's daddy?

She wasn't married, he was just living with them.
The baby daddy was the best we've seen so far. If they were to separate he should get the kid because she's lazy. So he was working two or three shifts a week and didn't look for a job elsewhere (and they were living someplace with a mall so it's not like he couldn't have gotten another part time job), and she just sat on her ass. I think they were all just living on welfare and gambling half of it away. |

I thought that was a case of the apple not falling far from the tree.
Was that Weston's mom they moved in with? Seemed like such a much better situation. Wonder why they didn't go there in the first place. Meemaw and mama weren't that much neater than the teens. |

It made me cringe, and simultaneously fear for my child's future, that those poor kids had no idea how to do laundry and clean up after themselves. I
realized I coddle my kids waaay too much.
