That's because a bunch of women and men have won so it's not an issue. After the first season with some people being mad that an arrogant guy like Richard Hatch won of course people wanted to believe a woman could win a rough game like Survivor.

If it hadn't been ASS there is ABSOLUTELY no way that Amber could have convinced Kathy, Lex or whoever she needed to convince to stay at F10.

If Tom and Rupert hadn't been so dumb at F5, then Romber wouldn't have made it to the end.

I agree. And EVERY single winner was aided by the stupid decisions and bad gameplay of other players.

Romber followed a simple, tired, old pagonging recipe. It worked, good for them but it wasn't impressive at all.

Really ?? Not impressive at all ?? If Lex and Kathy had made it to the F2 in the same way leading to a sure Kathy win, this friggin' board would STILL be praising them ! Pagonging is the CORRECT strategy to use, no matter how boring it is for the viewer. You're out there to win a million bucks. Richard and Tina and Ethan and Brian and Amber and Tom and Aras and Todd ALL used this strategy to win. Does that mean all of their wins are NOT IMPRESSIVE ? The Vanuatu women and New Nakum DID NOT use this pagong strategy and they ended up with the straggler winning in the end.

When Timbira voted out Brendan, it wasn't that easy to see that they had given their game away. It should have still been 5-3 Timbira but it was already 3-5. JT and Stephen played very well to convince Coach/Tyson/Debbie on one side, Brendan/Sierra on another that they were working with them while they had Erinn's vote to topple them all. That's strategy.

The Paos didn't have to do SQUAT to convince anybody of anything. Erinn was ostracized by the Timbira Five and came to JT to join up with the Paos. The two Timbira factions separately approached the Paos who did nothing but say yes. When Brendan was voted out, C/T/D thought it was 5-3 with Taj and Erinn and Sierra on the outside. C/T/D thought it was Sierra next on the chopping block. When they were betrayed by JT and Stephen, the four remaining Timbiras SHOULD have gotten together, but Erinn was in exile and the other three stupidly could not even get together themselves in order to approach Erinn.

As far as strategy is concerned, Coach lived and DIED with his ridiculous "strong to the end" strategy, despite repeated betrayals by his so-called allies. The secret Exile Alliance looked good on paper but blew up much too quickly when dumbasses Taj and Stephen turned on Brendan and Sierra much too early and for stupid reasons.

One thing that JT deserves credit for - he had a great social game. He had charm. He was nice. Everybody loved him. You know which past winner had the same characteristics ? AMBER.

Agreed! People are harping on AMBER just because they thought she did not deserve to be on ASS. Then they tend to ignore her gameplay & terribly downsize it. #_#

You can't really rank them. They all got in front of the jury and got the most votes. They basically all did the same thing.

I see that you really have a problem reading. The passage you quoted started with my comment:

"Actually, I never had a problem with Amber being cast for ASS..."

I'll say it again, her gameplay was nothing special and it has nothing to do with how I felt about her before, during or after the game.

I'll throw my two cents in here:

18. Amber- This was Rob's game, where a bitter jury regrettably picked the her out of spite. She didn't even belong on ASS to begin with.
17. Vecepia- Got lucky with the power shift, as it was more of Neleh, Kathy, and Paschal's doing. She was along for the ride.
16. Jenna- Again, this was another person's game, and she won the last immunity and took a nut case, which led her to win. Rob C. should've won, but I digress.
15. Bob- I have a tough time putting him low, because I really like him. But honestly, until there were like 7 people left, I forgot he existed. Played a UTR game, but not as good as some others.
14. Aras- Cirie led him through, because week after week in competitions he was Terry's bitch, and for a young, strong guy to not win as much as he should, he got to the final 3 because of Cirie's strategic prowess. Then Danielle took him to the finals where a bunch of his pals were on the jury.
13. Todd- aligned with the right people. Played a pretty basic game. Way too full of himself, seeing as he didn't do anything special.
12. JT- Again, screen time helped him out in fan's eyes. He did play well, but Stephen was the driving force really. Still a good player, but not as good as some others. Played a game similar to Ethan's.
11. Sandra- Was there any real way she could lose to Lil? Played a good game in a relatively weak strategic season, save Johnny and Burton.
10. Earl- Swept in the finals, but against the most hated player ever and a wallflower. Good partnership with Yau-Man, but Yau did a lot of the work.
9. Ethan- Ethan is my favorite Survivor ever, and he played in my favorite season. Was a real charmer, but didn't come off fake, and stayed UTR. Lex helped bring him to wear he went, but played a good game nonetheless.
8. Tina- This was Colby's game, she rode him to the end. Again, a great charmer which got her the win.
7. Yul- Played a good game, but had the idol, which drops him down a little. Won the best final ever, between him and Ozzy, with Becky sitting there.
6. Chris- Overcame odds and took down the matriarchal alliance. Twila swearing on her son helped him a lot, but he played great.
5. Danni- Overcame odds, beat Stephanie, and turned the Nakum alliance against each other beautifully.
4. Parvati- Used her "minions" well, was a puppet master and blindsided some great players.
3.Tom- Assumed the leader role early, which is normally suicide. He is the best physical player to win the game.
2. Brian- IMHO, played the best strategic game ever. Knew it was a game from the start, pissed people off, and still won. He used his "resources" to his full advantage, and played everyone.
1. Rich- He gets the nod because he had nothing to base his game off of. He called his win from the beginning, and used his social skills and fishing skills to get him forward.

I don't where your Aras hatred/Terry obsession came from, but you're delusional and confused. Aras made Terry HIS bitch by outflanking the latters challenge prowess through strategy. He THREW the competitions, get it right. And it's been established that Aras would have beaten Cirie in a final 2 situation.
