Doubt's acting was top-notch but the direction failed. It felt like it never left its play format.
The Wrestler was very touching and it should have been nominated for Best Picture.
Milk was okay. I got what I expected. I got teary-eyed in the end but I forgot about it the day after.
Up was a disappointment. Easily Pixar's worst between Wall-E and Ratatouille. The gags were cheap (high-pitched voice-over? really?). When it pushed your emotional buttons, the attempts were blatant. The villain had weak characterization. It just felt superficial compared to Wall-E and Ratatouille which were subtle yet really dug deep within you. I did cry during the first ten minutes though.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button felt too much like Big Fish. Young Cate Blanchett was smokin' though.
Night at the Museum 2 is one of, if not the worst movie(s) I have ever seen. I don't even know why I wasted money on that.
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas was cute. The kid actors were hilarious. "See you later... Schmuel."
