btw, SSerenaSS, my half-Spanish son wants to know when your people are going to provide reparations for the racism imposed upon his people during that time. And his Negress girlfriend says "Negress" is not offensive - old-fashioned, but not offensive.

and actually, the moors, jews and christians in spain lived peacefully for many years. if you go to southern Spain, lots of the architecture features muslim, jewish and christian symbols all integrated into the same artwork.

And the colonists and slaves here in America lived "peacefully" for many years, as well.

If you're denying there was oppression during the occupation of the Iberian Peninsula by the Moors, you're delusional. Might as well deny the Holocaust and racism in America while you're at it.

My post was in reply to those who would say that black people cannot be racist because only the race in power can be racist and they are not the race in power. My point is that racism is not defined by the pigment of one's skin or who is in power, as some here are wont to insist. It is an attitude of the human mind, whether that human mind inhabits a "brown" body, a "yellow" body, a "red" body, a "black" body, or a "white" body. It is not a recent invention, it's likely been around since one man discovered another man with a bit more melanin in his skin.
