Heavy weight, okay, but still, just from the cast picture, some of the guys look out of shape. And one guy looks pregnant.

Anyone watching UFC 100? It's just starting.
Any predictions? I'm so fucking excited and looking forward to Akiyama's debut match. I've followed him since his early Judo days and really enjoyed him in K1. Hope he wins but he's like 33 or something. Maybe a little too old to debut in UFC. *fingers crossed* |

Just watched the main card. Didn't bother with the undercard even though it was stacked and by the looks of the mat was incredibly entertaining.
Akiyama OWNED majorily in the opener. Great fighter, great pacing, really good fight overall. Henderson did exactly what most expected him to do. Track down this knock out tomorrow - NASTY stuff. GSP v. Alves slightly let me down, but I still enjoyed it. Alves is just not on that level yet... he will be soon though. And honestly, even with it ultimatley being a mis-match, it was clear watching the two of them that they are heads and tails better then everyone else in the division. Give Thiago a year and run this one back. Congrats to GSP though, an MMA master class is essentially what he put on. Brock Lesnar is the man, he just is. I enjoyed the fight for what it was - Lesnar learning from his past mistakes and just generally obliterating Mir. The TKO was vicious, Lesnar in a runaway. His post show interview ruled over all. Great stuff. Overall, really enjoyable show. I'm sure some were expecting more, but I feel on some level every fight delievered. |

Lesnar is a damn freak of human nature.
Lesnar vs Fedor one time. The SovereignOne wrote:The mat was kind of gnarly looking. |

That Henderson knock out was INSANE. Maybe that'll take Bisping down a notch or two.
And Lesnar is an awesome villain. I don't know how much of that is real and how much of it is calculated (maybe left-over from his WWE days?) but he really works the heel thing. |

Lesnar pissed me off, honestly, because he's really not that much of an asshole. Shit talking is part of the game, especially Mir's game, and Lesnar
should understand that, and not go up to Mir, who's all bloodied up and make him feel even worse. Flipping off the fans? C'mon, Lesnar, this isn't
WWE. He needs to check his ego a little bit. Whatever. I'm waiting for Carwin-Velasquez. Hopefully, Carwin will win, and we will see Lesnar-Carwin next.
Good fight.

If we have to learn one lesson about Brock Lesnar.... you don't talk shit about Lesnar. Randy Couture treated Lesnar with respect and he got respect from
Lesnar, Frank Mir pissed Lesnar off and the fight looked like a grown man sticking a pill down a cat's throat. Mir's face looked like a side of rotten
mcdonalds hamburger at the end of that fight. As for Lesnar being a huge tool... yeah and whose going to tell him to shut up and how far away are you going to
be when you say it to him.

Would they ever do a cross-weight class fight like Anderson Silva vs Lesnar?

Would they ever do a cross-weight class fight like Anderson Silva vs Lesnar? That would be a little too much of a weight difference.... If we have to learn one lesson about Brock Lesnar.... you don't talk shit about Lesnar. For Silva his best chance is to have GSP move up to fight Silva. Me I just want to see "good fights" I just want to see Lesnar destroy people. |

I wish the Mir vs Lesnar fight had lasted a little longer.
Lesnar is just so frigging big and heavy, once he's on top, I don't think anyone can get out of there. Skills aside, Lesnar wins just by his sheer size. Who's the biggest guy in UFC now except Lesnar? |

Brock takes things personal and Mir paid the price. Mir talked a lot of smack after submitting Brock the first time and then did tonnes more leading up to
Saturday. Brock got a lot of heat for his post-fight antics, but I thought it was hillarious. He's the biggest villain now in UFC history. You could tell
he was using his WWE experience to milk the boos from the crowd. Down the line that means more PPV buys and more $$$ in his pocket.
Don't piss Henderson off either! I hate Bisping, and loved the KO. Henderson said he knew he was out but gave him the 2nd shot anyway because he wanted to shut him up. |

BermudaTriangle wrote: Is that what he said? I thought he said something like he's not the kind of guy who hits a guy knowing he's passed out. Maybe I'm wrong thinking Henderson kept going because the referee didn't stop him after the first hit and he didn't know Bisping was totally out. Maybe I should watch the interview part again. |

So he must have had a lot of hate towards Bisping. He did the same thing to Wanderlei Silva, though, so who knows. |

In fairness though, the referee didn't jump in imediately and per UFC rules, you it and attack until a tap out and a referee stoppage.
That was a NASTY hit though How many teeth did he lose? |

Yup, you go until the ref stops the fight and pulls you off, that's why I have zero problem with the extra hit Henderson laid on him. Bisping never really
had his chin tested against a monster shot like that. If you look Sanchez/Guida, I'm sure mostly everyone though Guida was KO'd after that head kick
Sanchez landed, but as soon as Guida hit the floor he shot in for a leg.

In Henderson's defense, he reportedly told Dana he was joking post fight, but even if he wasn't, he did nothing wrong.

I am looking forward to seeing Kimbo compete. I am surprised Roy Nelson is considered amateur enough. He looked good against Arvloski, so it will be a great
show. I am looking forward to this upcoming season more than any other
UFC 100 was pretty good. GSP is just so darn good he makes everything look easy. Alves is such a great striker and he could not land anything on him. I love Lesnar. I think his ego will be in check in future fights but he took care of the big mouth Mir. I just do not like Mir so I am biased. I also loved seeing Bisping knocked out cold. He just does not impress me. never has never will. I think Florian is going to whoop BJ. I know that would be an upset but I can feel it Later peeps |

Affliction's Aug 1st card is cancelled, fighting promotion dead, and back again as a UFC sponsor.
