Jeanette deserves this, coming from her training she has done incredibly well.
Melissa isn't where she should be, and if she is ever given a hip hop we will probably see her falter. I am comparing her to other ballet trained dancers Talia (australia's winner), Vanessa (1st season Aus) and runner up Allie from Canada. These dancers all had great range and most of all were really unique in their approach to ballet.
So far Brandon and Jeanette deserve the top 2 positions, but we will see how they (and the rest) will do with other partners.
Based on what? Shouldn't we actually see her DO a hip hop routine before we decide she can't do one?
Well, that she showed weakness when she had to pick up the speed in her dancing with the disco routine. She seemed weak, IMO. And it seems they are protecting her from doing hip hop. By this time in the competiton on Aus/Can the 2 ballet dancers had proven themselves very competent in much more varied styles, not just the styles that lent themselves to a trained ballet dancer. I will be the first one to give Melissa props if she pulls off a hard hitting fast routine. I just don't think she has it in her to be as diverse. Prove me wrong, I won't mind.
Even if she hits a decent hip hop routine, she will still not touch the excellence and personality that Jeanette has shown us so far.
If jeanette doesn't make final 4 I will be supremely pissed. She is the first pairs/ballroom styled dancer that I have loved and was truly versatile.
