I'm relatively happy with the nominations. Lots of surprise sprinkled all over the list. It's definitely not the same old same old. Besides 30 Rock
and House, not a lot of major network representation. That's certainly a first. Love the Heigle snub. I doubt she'll ever be nominated for an Emmy
again. She's on the show for another season and then nada. I really hope her summer movie tanks. It couldn't happen to a nicer person.

The Closer and SVU being represented in Lead Actress really shocked me... outside of those, pretty much what I expected.
Am just bummed that Psych got no love whatsoever. |

How did Cherry Jones get nominated for supporting actress in a drama for "24?" She sucked.
Anna Gunn from Breaking Bad or Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost were more deserving. Marge Helgenberger from CSI would have even been better. |

^^^It really depends on her next two movies. She was cast, before her epic diva tirade, on many projects. If her next two films tank she will be dropped from
those still waiting to be filmed. She needs to play nice this season on Grey's. But I'm hoping Shonda Knights her into insignificance. If she were
to fade away like George it would be a fitting end.

^^^It hasn't been tracking well. And Gerard Butler seems to be box office posion when fully dressed and in romantic comedies. If it opens big then it
will be in testament to her popularity, but she's no Sandra Bullock. She'd have to be open on a weekend with no competition.

I'm torn about her new movie. On the one hand I want to boycott it b/c she's such a fucking bitch but on the other I want to see Gerard. Also I really
liked 27 Dresses.
I wish she was a shittier actress. It's annoying that she's actually good b/c I fucking hate her as a person and don't want to support her career. As for opening on a weekend with no competition well Harry Potter opened yesterday and her movie opens tomorrow. The audience for HP is so varied it's hard to predict if that will affect this chick flick. |

Big Love finally getting the recognition it always deserved <333. And you KNOW since the Emmys have ignored it before, the reason it got in this time was
because of pure quality. Can't say the same for House, which got in for being House. I hope Damages sweeps it up this year, and hopefully
Michael C. Hall takes home the most overdue Emmy ever.

I hate the EMMYs. Of the four major entertainment awards, I find them to be the most pretentious and ego-stroking. I find the vast lot of the nominated
performers and shows pretentious and ego-stroking. I don't feel as insulted watching the Grammys, the Oscars, the Emmys... even the Golden Globes.
I do have confidence that Neil Patrick Harris will put on a great show. But I'm still pissed that the Emmys snubbed Cat Deeley and RuPaul in the Best Reality Show Host category. Has the Academy not seen their work? Leagues better than the $45 Million Dollar Whore Ryan Seacrest. Cat brings grace and dignity to what would otherwise be American Idol: The Dance Version and RuPaul made her Drag Race quality television. On a more positive note, at least Kathy Griffin won't have to compete against EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER. I hope that she can win in both her categories (Best Reality Show and Best Variety/Whatever Special). |

I love 30 Rock, but they gave it way too many nominations. The third season wasn't even as good as the first two. I'm thrilled about the supporting actors getting in, though. |
