I will admit that I will miss Kupono for many reasons entirely outside his dancing -- his hotness, his gaiety, his cheesy outfits, his shininess. However,
since he was in two of my favorite dances of the entire season, I can't quite write off his talent. I think he's good but inconsistent.

Mark and Chelsie's AT was way better but I don't think they'd nominate Alex de Silva after all the stuff went down with him.Nah, I disagree. Joshua's routine was better choreographed, and Mark didn't do much in the first one. |

BTW, question about the emmy nominations, but do the choreographers only submit one piece (or two) of choreography and hope it gets chosen, or do the voters
look at everything on the show.
That might explain why Mia's door routine is nominated over Beautiful, The Circus, or Hometown Glory, because all her rabid fans convinced her that the Door routine, and possibly the bed one, were better choices for submission (it doesn't explain why the routine's were actually nominated, but it explains why they were nominated over other Mia routines). I'm wondering why Sonya's "The Garden" wasn't chosen over Tyce or Mia's piece, but what can you do. I expected Mia, Tyce, and NappyTabs to get nominations, so I was prepared, but Dmitry is such a pleasant surprise. I hope he wins. |

Travis did a great job with his choreography for Jason/Janette?? last night..I loved it and loved both of them in it. I wasn't much of a Jason fan but I
always loved her. She seems to be able to pull off anything!

Then I'm TOTALLY in the minority b/c I like both Kupono and Evan and would prefer to see Ade go and he can take that hair pick with him.
It's fair to say that Randi should go home tonight although I like her a lot. She's just not QUITE at the level of dancer the other girls are and I think you all underestimate Michelle. I think she did a great job in all her dances this season and is quite likeable at the same time. I'm also rooting for Jeanine too. The little Latina girl annoys me though. I think she's a bit too obnoxious. Still a good dancer, but annoying nonetheless. |

And by Michelle you mean Melissa, right?
Anyway, Melissa has done well in all her dances because they are all the slow, graceful type. Her one fast dance, the disco, was NOT danced well by her. If she pulls off a hip-hop, I will feel she has proven herself, but as of now, she seems one note. |

I think she proved herself in the Bollywood number last night. That was a fast dance and she was ripping up the stage as well as any of the other girls. |

I LOVED that all female Bollywood number. Those gals were really good and N-Sync... c'mon, they were great. The woman (I feel) are much more powerful than
the male dancers this year.
Evan: He's in a league of his own without Rosie (thank you Lord)...and I for one, find him really refreshing and his ass is amazing. OH...TURRETS OF THE FINGERS! Melissa is not a ONE note dancer. She can do much more..yes, she puts her 'style' into all dances but, don't all the dancers... She may be more obvious as it's ballet but I think all of them have put their own spin on their specific skills. Janette (Philip's partner at the beginning) sorry if I have her name wrong, is very versatile. I really would love to see her win this whole thing. She was so 'anchored' down by Philip and now she can really let it rip. She has the perfect combination of natural dance talent and 'acting skills'..which is so important in this competition. Side note: I'm so PISSED that Cat was not nominated for the Emmy. She's really a good hostess on the show. Also, I did like the African Number by the men but I thought the women were stronger. And Mr. Milkshake 'Evan' was pretty damn good considering the dance / his height/ and being out of his element. |

is admittedly inconsistent, but able to pull off more than Evan, IMO). They were BOTH bad last night. Randi was bad, too.

Melissa is pretty decent at what she does, it's just that she dances extremely SLOOOOOOOW!
I bet if you gave her a Quickstep or some fast hip-hop that required fast body action or a super fast count, she would need to go soak in some epsom salt after all the labouring she would have to do to get through such a quick dance. The Bollywood doesn't really count because it's mostly fast posing. |
