So as some of you know, I have a 2BR apartment that I'll be moving into next month. I've decided that I'd prefer living with a roommate rather than
having an office initially to see how it works out and because I prefer living with other people.
As of right now, I'm in a pickle. First, I was initially going to have my friend move in with me. We get along really well, and I initially said he wouldn't have to pay anything since I make enough to cover the rent/utilities. However, his parents and he said he'd feel guilty about that and offered to pay half the rent and utilities. Recently, however, he got mad when I asked how much he'd be able to help with and said I was "backpedaling". Then he got mad that I made a joke about me taking the bigger bedroom because if he wasn't going to pay anything, then I should get it (he says he needs it because he has 'too much shit'). So this whole situation has pissed me off, but I don't want to hurt the feelings of a friend.
Anyway, I posted an ad on craigslist two nights ago to find another roommate since he was being a douche. I got a lot of responses and a few seem promising. However, the most promising is a 20 year old gay guy who is a college student that is RIDICULOUSLY attractive. Like, omg did he just walk out of an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog? attractive. And of course he'd pay half the rent and utilities. And he likes vodka.
So now I am in a conundrum. I feel like I should be ethical and my heart says to stick with my friend since I've known him for 5 years and if he doesn't live with me he'll have to live with his parents in the middle of nowhere playing WoW all day (as opposed to living with me, I guess, and playing WoW all day) but my penis says go with the hottie that can pay bills.
