I think it's important to consider a dancers specialty if they are not getting a huge variety of dance styles from the "hat". Like, if someone
got jive, mambo and quickstep in their first 3 weeks, and nailed all 3 of them, I would be much more impressed if they we're a hip-hop or
lyrical/contemporary/jazz specialist as opposed to a ballroom dancer.
But if every couple got a variety of dances (like they should, even though it only happens to some), then yeah, it doesn't matter what specialty they are. BTW, I loved Heidi and all, but I never thought she was good in hip-hop. |

I think I have explained why I do not give Brandon high praise. I think his technique and versatility are awesome, and almost despise his acting element. I
find he panders way too much for my taste. To me, Brandon breaks out of character too much to "wink" at the audience. That belongs more in a
Disneyland Parade than this kind of dance performance, IMO.
As for Janette: She has been quite moving, to me, a couple of times. Her Tango had such passion and power to it, and actually moved me quite a bit. I have to say that her pure exhilaration in the Disco routine, which many saw as pandering as well (to me it was joy in the dance, not ingratiating to the audience), was breathtaking. I actually find That Janette is the most effective at showing a variety of emotion, of those left. |

I must say that part of Randi's problem, for me is that she is twenty something & her reaction to romatic stuff is that of a 10 year old. Alot of her
demeanor is that of a young girl not a women.
I said it earlier on this board, Brandon is like Carlton on fresh prince. A character. There seems a falseness to him. I am sure he is a nice guy, but maybe he isn't comfortable with himself as a person he is trying too hard. I was like that well into my 20's. I was so worried about everyone else & there perception of me, that I never was myself. I hit 30 & relised that I'm great & if people don't like or accept who I am then screw them. That's the kind of vibe I get from Brandon. Having Mia cut him down wouldn't help him if that's how he is. When Mia gave him a complement he started to cry. So he probably takes everything way too much to heart. I know alot of people think Ade is full of himself, but I think that too is an act. A lot of men I know are cocky because they are insecure. I love both Brandon & Ade. Janette & Jannine are my favoutie women. Although I like Evan too. He reminds me of a friend. |

Also, what is this about Laurie Ann choreographing? I bet there's going to be a lot of boom-boom-kats. |

Speaking of boom kats, I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them on this show, as Laurie Ann is hardly the only choreographer that goes boom boom kat.

"BOOM KAT" or "BOOM COT" are onomatopoeic phrases used by some choreographers to emphasize parts of a routine that correspond to percussive
accents in the accompanying music. Probably used more in hip-hop, pop and jazz choreography than anything else.
Laurie Ann Gibson is a hip-hop/pop choreographer who used to be a fly girl on In Living Color. Worked with a number of acts including Puff Daddy and Lady Gaga. |

I am guessing it is when a choreographer is trying to explain a dance they make the noise Boom Boom Kat while dancing to try and show a dancer when to do a
move to the beat. (I think I just confused myself) I think Mia does a lot of the boom boom kat stuff.

OH! Was Laurie Ann the one who fought with Diddy on Making the Band! LOVED girlfriend. One of the only times I have EVER seen one of his crew not suck up to
him... and he deserved it.
