She has 4 young ones. I know that childcare costs are more than what ppl earn, so it actually more cost effective to stay at home.

That is another reason she should bother me. And she probably raises her own kids because she was raised by a nanny. All of that would normally make me like
her less... and this time I find it causing me to like her more.

Does anyone else think this is the best Food Network Star so far? As in, the most entertaining. I even got my hubby hooked on it. Melissa is going all the
way. Unless they decide they haven't represented the Asians enough. Remember, there was a lot of complaining about how white the Food Network had gotten
and suddenly old whats his name wins last season, and they have the happy black couple show now also. (That show is soooo irritating, BTW). Anyway, if they
needed an Asian host, I wish they would have gotten someone more attractive. That Margaret Cho moonface Korean fat girl look kind of kills my appetite. That
was really mean, I'm sorry. But she's gross. If you want to be a TV star, you need to be better looking. I can't even watch Mario Batalli
anymore, I feel he's going to sweat in the food and keel over with a heart attack.

If indeed this is the end result of this show, I won't be watching. I don't need some Mom talking as if the audience was a child in need of remedial cooking tips. I don't think she has the originality to sustain a show. Debbie, may not be the most attractive contestant yet, but I find myself more drawn to her flavor profile. Jeffrey may be boring, but he is more creative. Having said that, I think Debbie will be the next to go, Credibility > Skills. The battle between Jeffrey and Melissa will be interesting as Jeff has won the most challenges vs Melissa the underdog. My gut tells me in the end Jeff will win, by producing better dishes under adversity. |
