I won't say she doesn't have the talent, but in my opinion as an untrained dancer, she appears to have the least versatility of anyone left.

It's the toughest because it's so technical. That's why it's hard for her to let go of her technique. They're all different though, and
when you get to a professional level it's all hard.

I noticed at the end of the show last night, when they were just lined up celebrating, that she was standing next to Shane S. and he was whispering in her ear, probably saying, "You are so going to win this thing" and right after that, Nigel turned around and freaking kissed her on the cheek. She is well known in the dance world in Cali, and I know choreographers who have worked with her. I feel like the judges treat her as if SHE is doing THEM a favor by being on this show. They act like she is a cut above everyone else and she acts as if she is, too. Deep hatred and I wish she went home last night. |

Hanson wrote: X. I was hoping her pasty ass would get booted instead of Janette. I don't care for Melissa either, but I knew the BCD would buy her at least another week, so if we weren't going to lose her, I'd rather get rid of that overrated blonde alien. Screw that, I want her gone before anyone else. To be honest, I was kind of disappointed with the 100th episode. I guess I was expecting some 2-hour, cheesy, bombastic, self-congratulatory bash, but outside of some clip and less than a handful of past routines, it felt like it was just another results show. What the hell was that opening number? I thought Tyce choreographed that crap, or even Joey, but when Cat said Mia, it made some sort of sense. Just when you think she couldn't get any more pretentious. And that Mama Mia crap made me wish someone would just go up there and punch her in the face. Speaking of whom, as someone who didn't watch the second season, this was my first time seeing the much talked about bench routine, and my reaction afterwards was: that won an Emmy? Heidi barely danced, and I felt nothing afterwards. OTOH, the Wade group routine was awesome, especially with Wade dancing in it. I've always wanted to see the choreographers dance in some routines. I liked when they had Lil C and his crew doing a krump routine during one of the finales (I believe it was season three). What an epic waste of time that Katie Holmes routine was. After all that hype, all it was was a lip-synched, barely moving parody of a Judy Garland act. They could've filled up the time with more routines from seasons past. As for the guys, I felt it was going to be either Evan or Jason. With Evan seemingly made of Teflon, it was Jason's time to go, which was too bad because he started to do well when he was no longer partnered with Caitlin and like Melissa, Ade was spared due to the BCD dance, although their cha cha was the worst routine of the evening IMO.T |

Not Janette!
Stupid manipulative cancer dance. I did think the dance was pretty and well-done, but it's the manipulation I hate. All the !#%*! and omg...best thing ever in the history of the world crap that sucks. It's like they were telling viewers if you voted against them, you and your loved ones would all be stricken with cancer as punishment. Ugh. For me, Janette was not only fierce, she was amazing with whatever style they gave her. No matter if the routine or her partner weren't great, she was always fantastic. For me, she seemed to be the only one left who never had a crappy dance. She was most versatile and really, really good. |

Watching it again, there's really not much to it, just a lot of soulful looks and a bench and a flower. I'm not a Mia hater and I at least like almost all her stuff, but if I had a top ten Mia routines list, the Bench Dance would be far down on that list. Just off the top of my head, Hometown Glory, Higher Ground, Mark & Chelsie's week one piece, and last season's group number with Mark as the Ringleader. I'm sure there are three or four others.

The worst part about the Katie Holmes routine was the fact that she looked like she was trying way too hard to perform a number that had no purpose, and was
carried off with little conviction or passion. I felt like I was watching a tribute to Pia Zadora, not Judy Garland.

I was ever so slightly let down by my favorite Bench Dance. Neither of them danced with as much feeling as the first time (but that's probably because the first time around, they were contestants trying to win the competition). Ramalama <3. One of my favorite group numbers. And I sort of loved that Wade danced with them.

Part of what made the bench dance so great was the video intro to the dance with Heidi bawling because she couldn't do it.
As for the emmys they're not based on difficulty of choreography (because god Jullianne from DWTS?) but on entertainment value. |

I am in t.ears over Janette going
I'm conflicted on who I want to win. I almost want Evan to win to spite the fuck out of the show. It's a joke he's still there and even more of a joke that he's never been bottom 3. I kinda like Kayla but she reminds me of Lauren. A producer's favorite who never lived up to the potential and continually struggled for votes. Although I guess she's at least shinned here and there. The girl just has no charisma. I kinda like Melissa and her winning would be nice because she isn't 100% a contemporary dancer. Jeanine winning would be somewhat of an underdog because she was fodder originally. Now I think the judges have changed their tune and she will win. Brandon and Ade can fuck off though |

I think another reason Bench Dance was so overrated and earned an emmy, was that there really wasn't much competition back then.
Although, I am still dumbfounded as to how Mia's lame door dance earned a nomination this year. Better than the bed dance, but it still sucked. Sonia's Garden Dance should have made the list, instead, among many other routines last season. |

I thought the door dance was a Mandy Moore routine?

Mia served up two lame dances to work around Twitch's inability to actually, you know... dance. The Bed Dance and then the Door Dance (Mercy).
Fucking Twitch. |

I thought Katee was a stone cold bitch but is it just me or was nearly EVERY memorable routine from last season had her in it? Well most of them because
Chelsie had a few as well.
