I don't remember how the CDT worked last time it was used and I can't remember the rule on whether the CDT winner votes or not. I used Google found a few sites that discussed the Coup d'Etat and how the voting would work. Unfortunately, they all included blogs or posts from people like us who just had their personal opinions as to how it would work and none had any official explanation or the way it worked in BB7.

So, the best I can do is give you my personal opinion on the way it should work and that is really pretty much worthless because the official version doesn't have to be anything like I think it should be. But, here goes:

If we are to believe the statement that the CDT holder "overthrows" the HoH, then it doesn't seem logical to me that the HoH could wind up having more power than the CDT holder because the HoH has been "overthrown".

If the CDT and HoH have equal powers, then neither of them will vote and there will only be 5 votes and there won't be any tie. But, if only one of them can vote, IMO, it would have to be the CDT because the CDT "overthrew" the HoH and it doesn't make logical sense then for the HoH to have more power than the CDT. But in that case, there would be six votes and the HoH would have to vote to break the tie like the HoH normally does. But then again, this is BB and since when did "logic" have anything to do with the rules of the game?

Does anyone remember what the rules for voting were in BB7?
