Where, exactly, has interventionist foreign policy taken the United States? A quick look at recent history reveals that our "toughness" and need to spread Democracy through nation building and attempt to create a favorable international climate by force has bred all of this hostility throughout the world. There are three primary contributors to the seething hatred of the U.S. in the Middle East, and all three were forceful or unwanted interventions.
