The shit with the FOS isn't over...not unless you consider Luke walking in to the vamp party covered in explosives and silver "over".

Can't wait to see all the gory fabulousness of the aftermath of the explosion. Presumably, most of the vamps survive. Bill probably stands in front of
Sookie so that she survives without a scratch. A couple of the minor vamps are probably dead -- Stan or Isabel probably. Some, like Eric, are probably in a bad
way but can regenerate.

I think Bill was outside during the explosion. I think Eric is going to protect Sookie during the explosion.
Then... ETA: Awesome episode!! Jason pushing Sarah to the ground was the highlight for me. |

This was a really good epi, and it's about time. Every time it switched to the Maryann storyline, it bogged down for me though. I'm so sick of her
little sideways "Ain't I a stinkah!" facial expressions. Somebody blow her up already.

Eric will protect Sookie, he lurves her even if last night he said don't talk to me about things I don't understand when love was mentioned.

So what was up with Gabe or whatever the drill sergeant's name was? "Godric, it's me!" he said, right before Godric snapped his neck. So does
that mean that he was working with Godric? Is this messianic bit of Godric's just a cover? I'm soooo confused!

Godric was at the FOS willingly, but that doesn't mean he's "on their side".

I love love love Godric. Damn he is hot. I hope he sticks around for a long time.
I love Lorena too, but something tells me she won't be around much longer. I only started watching this show this spring so and I got so into it that I just couldn't stop watching the episodes back to back. But now watching it on TV, fuck these cliffhangers are killing me. |

McWolcott wrote: I love how crazy it drives Eric that he has this fascination with Sookie. He obviously is not one to allow anyone, especially a human, hold his interest like Sookie does. And I don't know how he does it, but Eric gets hotter with every episode. I just loved when he slipped into his regular Joe persona when talking to the FOS guys. And the best was Eric confronting Jason to make him squirm and that childish grin on his face, because he was so amused by playing Jason like that. Alex is doing an amazing job playing Eric to a T. |

Starting to compare Eric to Bill, and Bill is starting to seem like an old fuddy duddy. Eric is Ice Ice, Baby!

McWolcott wrote:That's what still confuses me. In the book, he went there voluntarily, but from the episode last night it sounded like he was somehow captured by the FOS through the use of the rat dating Isabel. But then once Godric was there, he decided not to fight them and leave and instead hung out with them to prove that vamps are not all bad and can co-exist with humans? The whole thing just didn't add up and I kept waiting for more explanation. I really loved the book storyline with Godric wanting to meet the sun voluntarily, because he was finally feeling the guilt of molesting/killing children all his 2,000 years or so. However, then Godric on the show is a good looking young man and I didn't want the pedo part of the storyline. I'm torn, because Godric living and possibly showing up from time to time on the show would be great, but I think Godric having Sookie help him voluntarily meeting the sun like in the book would be great to see play out (not the actually gory part, but from a touching and dramatic standpoint to see Godric commit suicide). That was my favorite part of book 2. |

It was a good episode, but I was a little disappointed in how neatly everything was wrapped up. Aside from suicide bomber Luke, who's little bomb likely
won't kill anyone important, it seems like the FOS storyline was done. And I didn't like what they did with Lorena. She is bad ass......she
shouldn't have to go skulking into the night, letting Sookie win. We better see more of her! God, I wish she had the chance to at least bite Sookie
though.
I don't know, it seemed like everything was tied up with a little bow, even Jason being a V user/being involved in killing a vampire. Poor Jessica.....that is truly hell. She's a great actress. I find her completely believable. And I still love the Maryanne story line. It's just bizarre, especially the heart pie, followed by the voluntary violence. I am psyched to see what happens next week with Tara. I couldn't care less about Eggs, but I'm concerned that Tara is going to die. That will suck. Finally, I would love it if Eric stole Sookie from Bill, but I can't see any way that she would choose Eric voluntarily. I think he does truly disgust her. Question for book readers: So Godric wanted to die in the books. Did he succeed?

Thanks McWolcott and Grenade Jumper for the info re: Godric. I'm already attached to Godric in the show and would be sad if that happened. Seems as if
his story is arching in a different direction though, so I guess we'll see.
I just rewatched the eppy, and the scene with Lorena and Sookie is great. Someone/something really needs to bitchslap Sookie. I'm not a fan of her bravado. Bitch needs to learn some humility. I really dig Lorena's character too....I hope we see her again, but it doesn't seem likely, at least not for a while. |
