It's never been done with telescopes, but the new imaging orbiter we've got has taken aerial photos of the sites http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/multimedia/lroimages/apollosites.html Also there are retro-reflectors left by each mission that people bounce lasers off of to measure how fast the Moon is drifting away from us.

Thanks for that link, but if you look at all those pictures of the surface they all look the same even though they are supposed to be different landing spots which probably proves that the perspective thing applys to taking pictures from top to bottom also.
