Any advice (aside from obvious) to prepare myself for such commitment?

Apparently, I got accepted. I just need to submit transcript(s) before I proceed.

Is that where they teach you how to be a graduate?

Is that like being a principal or superintendent?

Try to know as much about pedagogy theorists as you can.

What major did you took following your graduation? College is very hard and tough.

Congrats! I'm starting my final year in an MBA program next week and I've really enjoyed grad school. Before I started, I knew I was in for a lot of
reading so I prepared by trying to read as much as I could so I would be used to it. That helped a lot. There are more presentations, and more emphasis on
writing, but it's nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be. So far, anyway. We'll see how this last year goes.

I am in grad school, and working full time. there is nothing you need to do but show up and tolerate utter bullshit.
you are welcome! oh, and get ready for the HUGE job offers when you are finished!! |

Eugene, I have read that you are IT like me, what huge offers are out there for folks like us? I have my doctorate and I still rather be a tech than go into
management. However, I keep that in my back pocket just in case something changes.

I was joking when I said there was a huge promotion or job offer waiting for Grad School Graduates. thisgh I have been technical for the past 15 years, I am doing my masters so I can get into management, so that there is a reasonable hope for a slightly bigger paycheck. Don't get me wrong, I am not suffering, and in this econimy I am actulally doing "pretty good", I am just ready for the next step. I think that instead of working for a complete moron, I could be the complete moron and have people work for me. (in the Military I had as many as 12 direct reports so it isn't anything new..) |

In Educational Administration, yes. That's funny, what is the point? Are you going to be living off Financial Aid? |

Not to sqaush your dreams, but educational administration is all about who's ass you kiss, not actual educational credentials.

Wait ... you were offered admission before they received your transcripts??? Something is not quite right. Is this program accredited??? |
