They are at least considering all of the bad scenarios too, including that Nat could be lying. Jeff wants Jordan to take out everyone who might target HIM, and gets testy with every suggestion because he won't be safe enough, as if that is Jordan's fault. She's willing to do this anyway he wants, but every suggestion she makes he gets pissed at her because that leaves someone else in who wants him out.
