I have noticed on the Clay board I frequent that a lot of fans there dislike Adam. No need for that. The only things they have in common are that they were AI runners-up, are gay men, have/have had women and girls crushing on them, and can sing like nobody's business. To me, it's not even a competition. Stylistically, musically, personality-wise, they're different. So suppose Adam goes on to be a superstar. Suppose he does end up selling more CDs/digital downloads/whateva than Clay does. What's wrong with that? Nothing. It's all a matter of personal taste. The music world -- the world -- needs all kinds of artists.

Or maybe at almost 4 am, with only a nap since 9 am Wednesday, I am babbling and making little or no sense. LOL

My dislike of Adam has nothing to do with anyone other than Adam. You assume wrongly that there is an element of competition. There isn't. Adam doesn't have a hope in hell of outselling Clay's debut. His buzz, that his fans are so excited about, is the equivalent of slowing down to gawk at a trainwreck. Sure people look but they aren't going to buy what he is selling. He appeals to a small segment of the population that are attracted to freaks.

Adam is a poorly manufactured attempt to copy what he thinks is cool. He will never be accepted by mainstream music fans because there is nothing authentic about him. He attracts voyeurs and women desperate to latch onto the flavor of the month. Its mass self hypnosis. They tell each other that he's hot when in fact he's really a fat kid inside with bad skin and braces. He dresses up in costumes, glitter, makeup, hairdye and chains to hide his inadequate self.

His screechy voice grates, he reminds me of Constantine with the studied poses and facial expressions he thinks are sexy but are in fact creepy. His queeny attitude and his disdain for his fans is so obvious I feel sorry for the delusional lot of them. They don't like him but they want to fuck him. He is creeped out by them and their dildo tossing but he needs them.

He's just a kinky toy for those that like that sort of thing.

Don't bother coming back at me with nastiness about Clay. He isn't the subject of this thread and it isn't his fault that Adam is awful and contrived.

I mean look at this. What part of this picture or the whole photoshoot is anything other than a guy that wants to play dress up and be anyone other than who he is? Give me a guy in a plaid shirt and faded #@#+* over this court jester any day.

Its bad enough that the fans have so little regard for him that they throw handcuffs, whips and dildos on stage, but the fact that he chose to viciously kick the dildo back into the crowd, not caring if anyone including kids got hurt, shows the real Adam. He could have kicked it to the side of the stage but he chose to assault the crowd instead. That most definitely shows his disdain but of course his fans are too dense to get it.
