Posts: 8728 (08/19/09 11:38 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I've been having an Outback viewing marathon over the last few days, and I realized that I haven't last seen this season in at least a year and a half. Is this strange behavior from someone whos watched Survivor since the beginning? I love all the seasons on some level, but we all have favorites. Borneo-I watch this every year in the order of the original air dates unless I'm busy, when it is rescheduled to Wednesdays(The orignal air day in 2000). I watch the "Greatest Moments" DVD from time to time, which is probably more frequently than most people otherwise would. Micronesia-I've only seen it twice, including the original air dates. I appreciate it much more the second time. Thailand, Africa, Pearl Islands and All Stars: I usually don't watch these in order. Just a random episode whenever I feel like it. These are the seasons I rewatch the most other than Borneo. Panama(EI): Probably 3 or 4 times. I really dig this season, even if others don't. Vanuatu, China and Tocantins: The ones I never revisted in their entirety. The others I've all watched sporadically, at least two or three times out of order.

One thing I realised today is that you can blatantly see a cameraman in camo during the episode 1 immunity challenge it was so wierd, i tried to remember how many times we've seen a cameraman in shot??

Ive seen All-Stars at least 5 times since the airing, Ive seen Borneo 2 times in the last 8 months, Im also in the middle of watching Exile Island, Africa and Outback. SINCE AIRING Borneo: Twice Outback: Once on internet, in the middle of watching on DVD right now. Africa: See Outback Marquesas: Tried, but I cant find episode 4 NOT in chipmunk, so Im gonna wait Thailand: Tried, got through one episode, bored Amazon: Once, all the way through on the internet Pearl Islands: I think three times in the last year on DVD All-Stars: At least 5 times in about 2 years Vanuatu: 3 or 4 times on DVD Palau: Once and a half on DVD, will be watching after I finish Outback and Africa Guatemala: Did about 4 episodes and then just stopped Exile Island: 4 episodes in currently on the internet Cook Islands: watched about 5 episodes on internet, got bored Fiji: watched the first 8 minutes and got bored China: Once on the internet all the way through Micronesia: Once on DVD in the last month Gabon: Will be soon. Tocantins: will be soon, but too early right now. Samoa: STILL WAITING FOR THE FUCKING CAST RELEASE! Because Im so young, I had different opinions of people when I was like 7 years old, so it's funny to see how those opinions changed. Like Christa Hastie from Pearl Islands. I HATED her on the airing (I was 7 1/2 at the time) but rewatching it last summer, she turned out to be one of my favorites. And then the opposite. Borneo I've seen countless times on dvd over the years, probably 5 or 6 times. Same with Australia. Africa, Amazon, Thailand, Guat, EI, Cooks, Fiji, China, Micronesia, Gabon I've only seen once. Marquesas, Tocantins twice. Vanuatu, palau three times including orginal air. PI 4 times including original air. I haven't rewatched any season in about a year, but I used to rewatch episodes almost nightly. Although some people say, "Why rewatch Survivor when you already know what's happening?" I always find them new and exciting each time.

Even though you know what's gonna happen, you get to see it play out, instead of wondering whats gonna happen. Like in the Outback, Jerri's boot. Watching it at the beginning when they're set on booting Nick or Rodger or Elisabeth, you wonder how is Jerri gonna get eliminated? And then after Nick wins immunity, and Colby and Tina blatantly say "Elisabeth has to go" and then Jerri goes. It just gives you more insight. Also, you get to appreciate the characters more, because your not quite as biased the second time around. Like Im sure I will think Coach was a great character when I rewatch tocantins, but I hated his guts during the airing.

I've since realized that that won't happen, which is why I have no problem watching them online now.

Even though that season had a disappointing outcome, I like it more and more with each viewing. I rewatched the premerges of Amazon and Exile Island. Amazon because I couldn't remember most of it, and Exile Island because I wanted to see if it was really as bad a season as it had been the first time I watched it. It still was.

Obviously I don't watch too much in a day but probably just enough to be done all 18 seasons by the time Season 20 is about to air... I started a few months back and am watching Survivor Africa right now. I know Terry is loathed on Sucks, but he was my only hope for the season. I had really wanted him to pull off the underdog win. I couldn't stand Aras's constant moaning and bitching, and I thought Danielle was too UTR to be a respectable winner. If Terry had won Exile Island, it makes my top 3 seasons. Even if Cirie had won (and I like Cirie), it would have been at least top 8 or so. The fact that a season with so much potential produced arguably the worst winner in the show's history is what hurts my opinion of it.
