Put it this way: I don't want to die for corporate profits or for Israel. Ask me the same question about the United States, and I hesitate. I guess
that's patriotism, or my very weak attenuated version of it.

Since 9/11 Muslims have killed at least 38 people in 29 separate acts of terrorism in the United States (by the standards that Muslim-American groups, such as
CAIR, set for hate crimes). ON AMERICAN SOIL.
I can provide a link for each separate incident if you'd like. That's still 30 more people than have been killed at abortion clinics. And of course it's ignoring all the other bombings of U.S. establishments elsewhere (The World Trade Center Bombing, Khobar Towes, USS Cole, etc. etc.) Nevertheless, what was the point of your original statement? I can respect liberal views, but when someone makes statements that imply abortion clinic bombings are a common occurrence, and equates them with Islamic terrorism, I have a hard time seeing them as anything but intellectually dishonest and/or borderline delusional Jefa, that sounds like a page out of ron paul's book |

Back to the original topic, I think Muslim superheroes are a great idea. That is, if they denounce and fight against extremism in the Muslim world. Muslim
kids need a better role model than the Hamas Rabbit

More like Gore Vidal's books. Well, not in the sense that I already thought this way before reading him. But what hadn't occurred to me before is one
way in which current affairs relate to history. Vidal's grandfather was an isolationist senator, and Vidal has done a lot to rehabilitate that American
tradition.

true about that
JG, I was just responding to your statement about black people blowing themselves up vs muslims blowing themselves up - didn't mean for it to become a political debate, but it's just that historically, there've been more white bombers than black or muslim bombers in this country and I wasn't saying anything about numbers killed or recently kids like superheroes and when all they have to look up to is bombers, they need a more positive role model |

Btw, this website has grouped all the current superheroes
by religion. Apparently there already were Muslim Superheroes
The Legion of Muslim Superheroes:
---------------------------------------------------------- for Jefa: The Legion of Atheist Superheroes
---------------------------------- for me: The Legion of Jewish Superheroes
------------------------------ And for Tom Cruise: Legion of Scientologist Super-Heroes

Interesting that they have Hellboy as Catholic. He does rely on a lot of relics from Saints in his battles with the supernatural.
