Metalocalypse is an American animated television series on Adult Swim created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha that premiered on August 4, 2006.
The show parodies other "band" and supernatural programs, combining dark comedy and Apocalyptic intrigue in following the exploits of the part-American/part-Scandinavian death metal band Dethklok. The episodes follow the band's everyday life, with a Dethklok song being a common feature near the end of many episodes. The music is written by guitarist/creator Brendon Small, is credited to the band, and is featured in most episodes including actual guitar-fingerings and other band-movements of the characters. In a bump on June 14, 2009, Adult Swim revealed that the third season would air on November 8 and The Dethalbum II would be released September 29. On June 22 it was announced season 3 would have 30 minute episodes |

When the one dude committed suicide, the guitarist found him and then ran to the store to get a camera and snap some pics.
One of them ended up on the cover of a "bootleg" Mayhem album. I am sure the exploits of these crazy fucks were a major influence on Brendan Small. |

Sometimes, when I fall asleep watching Adult Swim, I will be jolted awake by the music on that show.
It's pretty funny, though. Not as amusing as Superjail, though. |
