Oh I ride public transportation. BART and CalTrain are amazing. AC transit and VTA are even alright. Muni is just deplorable. If you don't believe me,
check out NextMuni's website for times between buses on the 19, 38, or 45, or even better, check out the thread about the driver who "blacked
out" and hit the train in front of him at West Portal. I personally love all the homeless who hop on via the backdoor(s) for free and then defecate or
urinate on the bus.
And I hardly consider where I live suburban. I guess to you the other 6.5 million people who live in the Bay Area not living in SF are suburbanites. But I consider where I live pretty urban -- we're just free of that pesky homeless problem that plagues SF. |

You know all the time I have been in Santa Monica with all the homeless we have here I have never seen a homeless woman. Only men. What is that about?

Its true tho, I hardly ever see homeless peops slummin on the streets. Mayhaps theyve just been swiped from the center. But i actually think that, surprisingly, Amsterdam is better in that respect than many other Europeen cities. |

Dude, rS has been using that ever since I created this nic. Its not new.
I live south of San Francisco and north of San Jose (the peninsula). I have to travel to both often, though, but my Prius is the best at saving me gas money! And please, just because you don't see homeless people doesn't mean you don't live in a city. It does mean you have a good police force and stable neighborhood, though. |
