This was an amazing episode tonight. And I really felt for Billy. I wanted to retaliate for him. Once video like that is out there there's no way to
reign it back in. My only complaint is the music they play at the end of every episode. I wish they'd can that. It's just getting old.

Yet another awesome episode! This show is so underrated. The story lines are way better than any of the CSIs are offering these days. The acting is great and
the situations are usually quite intense. Love it.

I don't know why they don't promote this show more. Last nights show was so good!

Great episode - I read that it's on the bubble and may only continue to air in Canada.

Flashpoint finishes first in it's timeslot fairly consistently, I don't see why they'd ax it.

I read that, too and at first I believed it, but got very suspicious when he noted "Could continue airing in Canada." There is no way this show will
not continue on in Canada with or without CBS's licensing fees (which I have heard is what is currently the hold-up on confirmation.. though not sure where
I heard it so validity is in the air).
Other articles are referring it to a "safe bet" (eg. http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/04/28/cbs-bubble-is-packed-with-shows-old-christine-gary-unmarried-the-unit-and-more/17593 ) as it is preforming very well for a Friday and some are referring to it for the reason other "cop" shows that are being picked up are from Toronto (Copper, the Bridge). Flashpoint's numbers have been consistent and in range of Ghost Whisperer's and Number's ratings, but costs significantly less to air. This makes me think that the rumour about the licensing fee hold-up is true. Also, one of the co-creator's twitter accounts refers to episodes that they are currently writing. (http://twitter.com/Flashpoint_TV) Another hint it will continue on CBS is that once the new episodes run out, they are going to show it in re-runs for a few weeks and on May 21st, not only will they have a re-run on Friday in its usual spot, they are planning on having a re-run play on Thursday opposite of Southland's season finale.. basically they are testing it out on another night again to see how it fairs. I can't see why a network would do something like that if they didn't have faith in a show (they could easily just show re-run's of CSI like they usually do and still kick Southland's ass.. poor Southland... I heard it is really good). |

I just started watching this show over the last couple weeks and I love it. The seasons have been much too short, and from what I've read it sounds like
we're going to be waiting for a long while for the next new episode which sucks, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that we get to see it much
sooner.
It's great to have a show set in Canada, and so close to where I'm from too. I love being able to recognize things on it. |

New episodes start July 17:
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS is giving "Flashpoint" fans a treat: an early return date. Scheduling updates released by the network today indicate new episodes will roll out starting Friday, July 17 at 9:00/8:00c. "Coming To You Live," the first installment back, is detailed as follows: "After hearing on the radio that a talk show host is holding a prominent politician hostage, seeking revenge for a murder he thinks the man committed years ago, the SRU team races to the station to talk the host out of killing him on the air, on FLASHPOINT, Friday, July 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network." The Eye ordered a third season of the series last month. |

I haven't watched in a while but did Jules/Amy Jo Johnson ever return after being shot?

Yeah, she's back.. it was only temporary because she wanted some time off after having a baby.
Minor pointless note: I think that article may be incorrect; CTV ordered a 3rd season and has basically been planning as if CBS wasn't on-board any more, being that CBS has so far been tight-lipped on what they wanted to do until now. |

For as excited as I was for new episodes, having it come back now may have been more harm then good... it very possibly could have gotten lost in the shuffle
and numbers could have dropped.
With 'Medium' coming to Fridays on the network, you assume FP moves to a different day (hopefully Thursdays) come mid-season and can hold steady (or even improve) ratings wise and be a go-to for the network for years to come. |

Apparently, TV viewership is at an all time low right now, so they figured it would be a waste of perfectly good new episodes to show them now, so this is a
good thing. CTV will still be showing the next season starting in the fall, so you may be able to view episodes earlier rather than waiting for the winter.

wow! I was crying my eyes out by the end of the episode. So sad.
Can't wait to see where they go next. I really didn't want that to be the end of the episode. I was hoping they would some how find a way for him to get out of that situation. |
