The only way it's a mistake is if Jameka or Eric would have taken him to the F2 and he could have beaten them, which isn't the case. Instead, it helped build up the good-will to the extent that Jameka, who had spent most of the game trashing Zach, ended up rooting for him to win.
You conveniently leave out that she was rooting for him to win over the Donatos and that by that point all of her allies were in the jury house. Of course she was gonna root for him over the Donatos.
How is that not good gameplay? Just because someone doesn't take out two players you don't like doesn't make it a dumb move. If Zach evicted Daniele, Dick would've gunned for him and sided with Jameka and Eric, simple as that - you really think Dick would just somehow let Zach back in his good graces, considering how much of the game he'd worked with Eric?
Dick would have no choice but to be with Zach. He would have been destroyed in the end versus Eric or Jameka considering all the friends they had on the jury. Which is why Zach had to make the move. Because if he uses the veto, Daniele goes home and Dick has no choice but to side with Zach. I absolutely despise Dick, but the fact of the matter is he's a smart enough player to know that him vs. Eric or him vs. Jameka with four of their allies + Jen on the jury would mean he doesn't win. He would have sided with Zach for F2 had Daniele not been there. Zach was a moron, plain and simple.
