I thought about lynching but the scar abruptly ends on either side of his neck as if he had gotten his throat slit and survived.

i loved the movie. question: in the tavern shootout scene, whose side were the bartender and his daughter on? So many people were all shooting each other at
once, it was hard to keep track of who was shooting who. I'm guessing they were on the German side, because i think they spoke German. But I'm not
sure.

I thought the bartender shot a German, but it was hard to tell. The daughter obviously was unarmed and didn't have a chance to choose a side. Powers, you're joking about the throat slit, right? A noose would not leave a scar around the back part of your neck, considering the pressure from being dragged/hanged is on the front part of the neck.

The shootout in the bar is gonna get analyzed like crazy to see who shot who once the DVD comes out. Much like the final Mexican standoff in 'Reservoir
Dogs' was, I guess. Excellent scene.
