I want them to remove the paso doble from every SYTYCD except the AUS one because of Jason G.
I can't bare watching my most favourite dance MASSACRED every season. |

Loved the dance hall routine. I also like them best last week. I have no idea what their names are but they are great.

Was anyone else reminded of Katherine Heigl at the beginning of almost every romantic comedy she's in when they flashed to Mel M.'s obsessive
scheduling?

I though last year's paso with Francis and Natalli was pretty awesome.
Anyway, I missed the show after the the pso, which was very weak from Corynne's side. She was very unstable. But dancehall was pretty cool. Can someone tell me how the rest of the show went, and what the judges said. I know I read the spoilers and all, but those people are usually so biased. |

littltimmy wrote:Okay, have to disagree about the mouth thing this week. She in fact doesn't have it open all the time -- only a few, and only when called for in the choreo IMHO. I think it may have appeared to have been open more because the horrendous lipstick they put on her! Regardless, it was krump, and given what Lil C said, I would have been disappointed if she didn't look grudge. I agree there should be levels in performance, but really there were no more levels to be achieved with this krump number. |

The dancehall routine was insane. I loved it.

Just saw all the routines. I am quite annoyed that the judges were so critical of Jenna Lynn and Melanie B, when they raved about Cody. Both girls were not
that great, but Cody was also horrible.

Yes, I loved the dance hall routine and I really love the Bollywood and other ethnic dances (other than the polka!) ... Especially with Canada being so
multi-cultural, they need to in-corporate a huge variety of dance numbers.
My issues is 'who' gets to dance them. It seems that Krump/Hip-Hop always have the biggest chance for bottom three and maybe throw in the slow waltz-type dances. Not all of this is about talent , a lot is about WHO you get for choreography and what name/dance you draw out of the 'hat of truth?' |

BTW, the dancers leaving are Mel B and Anthony. Seriously, Anthony over Austin? The season is so fucked up. 66% of the ballroom dancers are gone in week 2. The
second week is really bad for ballroom dancers. Anthony had a decent solo, though. Nicolas needs to keep his smile in check, because it is distracting, and he
needs to lay off the props (he put an afro wig on his head while spinning on the ground). Other than that, he did fine (be I do not think he is strong in other
styles). Austin's solo had some nice tricks, but it was not nearly as good as last week.
I figured there was a big chance Anthony would leave this week, but it still sucks. Mel B deserved to go, though. Corynne seems adorable, and has great legs, but she doesn't seem that strong. Jenna Lynn has spunk and bounce, but she kept doing the same things over and over again. The same leaps, the same poses, and the same hair flips. Mel B had a better solo than last week, but it was still a mess (she was slinging a scarf around and trying to do skirt work). Why, why won't she wear heels? And god, the girls this year really don't go home quietly (Tatiana seems very bitter, as well). Oh, and the Bollywood group routine was... nice, but not amazing. Edit: spoiler tags are gone.

littltimmy wrote:Agree with everything, except I actually preferred Austin's solo tonight versus last weeks (more dance and less tricks). However, I still would have preferred he went instead of Anthony. I know Mel B has been taking a lot of crap on the CTV boards, but I don't know if they are privy to it. If they are, then it might somewhat explain her tirade. Regardless, I think it was really showed poor sportsmanship. And really, which girl did she think should have gone in her place?! |

Regardless, I think it was really showed poor sportsmanship. And really, which girl did she think should have gone in her place?!That's what I wondered as well, since people on the ctv boards were unusually harsh towards Mel B, and she never got to prove them wrong (it could explain the emotional roller coaster she says the show has been). But yeah, I can't think of a girl who should have gone home in her stead. Maybe if she was given a genre other than standard ballroom those two weeks, expectations would not have been so high. The Mel B bashing last week pissed me off, for the very reason that Tatiana was no Romina, and I do not recall people making much of a fuss when she left. Anyway, I always cringe when contestants on shows say things like that. When she started her speech, it seemed like it was a nice bit of encouragement for those with less than a lifetime of dance experience. But then the bitterness came out, and it was hard to watch. Still, I am pretty forgiving of antics contestants can pull once they are eliminated; I can imagine this show takes it's toll on some people more than others, and Mel B kept mentioning what an emotional roller coaster it was. At least she held it together until she was actually eliminated, unlike fucking Twitch. And poor Anthony; he seemed so devastated. |

Wasn't there a poster in this thread who predicted Taylor James to win this whole thing and then switched to Anthony when he left? If so, then whoa, kiss
of death much? XD

Not surprised Mel B left but I kind of thought Nicolas would go for the guys. While he's really good at what he does, I'm not sure that he has as much
flexibility in other styles as Anthony has. At this point, all the guys have the potential to be really good and I'm not seeing any obvious fodder like I
am with the girls. A few of the girls stand out as being really amazing, and the rest had better step it up. My problem with Jenna Lynn is that she seems a bit
arrogant, and I think that will piss off the fans. I can see her flirting with the bottom 3 alot.
My ideal top 4 at this point would be Jamie Rae, Tara Jean, Daniel and Austin. Although I have to admit I'm surprised by how much I like Emanuel, I was expecting to hate him. |
