Why did the judges let him through again? :\| Unfortunately, I see him riding the tween vote (I don't know why because he's ugly as fuck but the judges keep tooting his horn) and making it to the finale...

If they are, then it might somewhat explain her tirade. I can almost guarantee you that almost every person in the Top 20 has read the boards at CTV, survivorsucks, televisionwithoutpity, idolforums, blogs, etc. Wouldn't you?

Anyway, my ideal top 4, right now, only includes Vincent (I LOVE Edward Norton). The other guy really depends on the coming weeks, but right now it's between Everett, Daniel (I want to see him do ballroom), and surprisingly, Emmanuel. I also don't want to pick a second guy because I worry it will be for nothing, since Cody may very likely make his way there instead (he pisses me off more than Nico, because at least Nico was actually hot and mildly talented). As for the girls, there are less standouts. I want to see Melanie (no M is needed anymore), Kim, and Jayme Rae, try ballroom. Amy could also grow on me, as could the other four. The girls are less impressive, and there are less standouts. The next few weeks will really separate them, when they have to do more styles, and it will make or break someone like Natalie. Is anyone really disappointed with Melissa Williams choreography this year? It's like she really sucks now, from her jive, to her shoeless disco, to her typical "throw each other around" jazz. On the other hand, Sean Cheesman seems to have stepped up his theatre routines (afro jazz has always been awesome from him), since they sucked last year, but I thoroughly enjoyed the one Kim and Emmanuel did. And is anyone tired of all these girls with double names? Tara-Jean, Jayme-Rae, Jenna Lynn (speaking of which, I do not get the arrogance thing. Sure, she has attitude and spunk when she dances, but she looked like a wreck when the judges were about to announce her safety.) If I was on this show, or any reality show, I would for sure check boards and stuff. Mel B (along with the others), probably checked the CTV site, or idolforums, since they probably don't know many other board names. But the CTV boards usually have crappy opinions (as does idolforums), so it's too bad if she took them seriously, and now they don't love Tatiana anymore because of how bitter she was on interviews after the show. This week, although a little better it could still use some work. One of the commentators from CTV news said this morning that the show told them they only had one day to put that dance together. I think that's a load of horse shit for this week, but it certainly explains last week! Mary really pissed me off this week, if these horrible performances were done on the American stage she would have torn into these dancers. Then the three other monkey's would follow suit. The paso was so painful to watch, I think it was season four for US with Sabra, I can't remeber her partner, anyway that was an Awesome paso. Any way back to Canada, I give the dancers props for getting back up after the fall but I'm sorry they NEVER recovered from it. It got sloppier and sloppier. None of these guys are strong enough to lift these girls. They must have picked the tiniest dancers they could find and chose them! I don't get Jean marc with all his crying and what bugs me most is that he doesn't talk to the dancers he talks to the audience about the dancers. I have also noticed when a dance is bad they always give props to the choreographer, and I'm pretty sure they are wishing that they didn't choreograph that dance.

I was gettting a Lee Pace thing from Anthony. Oh well. The second week was an improvement over week one but then what wouldn't be. Dance Hall, Blake's Tape routine and individually Tara Jean and Natalie (though Danny still has promise). Not entirely sold on Everett yet. But I think Jayme and Daniel might be top 6 at least. They don't look like they're doing choreography in their routines, they just own what they're doing. Yeah, Cody is slipping too. Out of the bottom 3 Mel B just wasn't projecting very well. She's so flat personality wise. And I would have gotten rid of Austin. His solos are good but he's just a partner killer at this point.

I always thought that was such an overrated and crappy paso (and it was from S3). The only decent moment was the lift at the end, and Sabra and Neil did it so poorly (Benji and Heidi did it so much more smoothly in their mambo). The only good pasos I've ever seen on the show were the one from last year with Natalli and Francis, and the one Mary choreographed for Heidi and Travis. I haven't seen all of the AU version, though. Also, yes, most of these performances were crappy, but Mary hasn't been an honest judge for a couple of years now. She's just Nigel's puppet on the US show. Yes. she sometimes gets very technical with very specific dances, like Evan and Randi's jive, but she's inconsistent because other dancers get free passes. She did the same last night, by being very harsh with the waltz, but easy on dances like the krump and salsa. Actually, just look at the paso you mentioned about S3; she raved about it, despite it having problems (although it was better than the one this week).

I mean, has anyone ever ever fallen or missed lifts on the US show? :\| I don't even remember any of the skinny, tiny guys doing that.

Posts: 1171 (09/03/09 5:30 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I know, last year was bad enough with 3 moments of forgotten choreography, and a botched lift, but this year already has a botched lift, a stumble, a busted nose, and I may sound crazy, but it looked like Cody was starting to forget the moves in his krump at one point (and then it cut to Melanie). It just seems so... unprofessional, and it also seems like none of the guys have much experience lifting girls (even the ballroom people), and they certainly don't have the strength for it. Caitlin had the most flexibility on the show and (one of) the strongest technique. Her solos proved it. She may have been a little old fashioned and maybe not as vibrant personality-wise but she is leaps and bounds above any of these medicore dancers.

I went through it quickly, but again the only 3 that seem to be on a level to make it to the final 4, for me, are Jamie Rae and Daniel.. good god they made Dancehall look fantastic!!! And Melanie, although she is definitely being brought down by her partner. I think that Vincent could round out the F4 for me. Eman and Kim seem like they would be great but I think they are a poor match. Heaven help us if Kim gets paired with Everett or Nicolas! I actually enjoyed the Bollywood routine, they were fairly tight as a group. And what the fuck is up with the bitchy losers on the women's side??? wow, bitches, learn how to dance and then you can give 'tude. Mel B sucked ass, and thinking that she made it over Yana because she was thinner and prettier, cuz she sho was a hot mess on the dance floor. And talking of hot messes, Anthony falling??? HA HA HA.. laughed my ball-sweat off. Is it my own jaded look at things but are these Canadians sucking ass... this feels like Canadian Idol, at least we can't blame Canada for the top 20 like we can in top 10 CI.
