Really beautiful. Gorgeous banquette! I much prefer the dark floors too. Hubby is so pedestrian with the maple.
 The light fixture above the table is a perfect complement to your cabinetry and floors.
Did you find it at the same place you got the banquette pendants?

I used polished nickel everywhere. I'm tired of the brushed stuff, had it at the other house.
Oh, and I will have window treatments, just haven't decided yet. I'm thinking of a cream and black scroll pattern fabric. Or a linen. I dunno. |

What you want and what you need is always two different things, Nedloh you asshole. I WANT a banquette to lounge by the fire.
Oh, and the walls aren't white, they're a color called chantilly, kinda cream. I didn't NEED a slipper tub in the guest bath either, but I WANTED one. It's not quite done yet. Fucking plumbers.

The poker table is in the lower level. It made the move and is as lovely as ever.
What part of 'black and cream' do you people not get with your wall color suggestions? token, roman shades won't work, the windows sashes are really low, almost all the way to the floor. Here's more kitchen from another angle.
