Um, Murray losing here is more surprising than Nadal possibly losing. First, Nadal is coming off an injury. Second, his game is completely unsuited for these
quick hard courts, and it shows in his completely shitty performances here in past years.

I've never seen Monfils play before, but this first set is AMAZING!

I know!! I really thought "sitting at the edge of my seat" was an idiom until now.

Actually Djokovic, is the one that got lucky. I can't believe he almost lost to a guy that was ranked 276th in the world.

Not to mention Nadal also won The Olympics also played on fast hard courts. Nadal just has an all court game.

Except the great players like Roger didn't try at the Olympics because they were all gearing up for the US Open.

US Open and AU Open are both played on hard steady surfaces. Explain how the fact that they just happen to be made of different materials significantly alter one's performance? It's ridiculous. |

I think the australian court had the ball bounce higher (rubber like court), making a bit like clay? Still that's a bit of a strech.

lol Dic Federer said his career high was winning the gold in doubles. Fed, also cried too. It was so sweet.... And he still says his main goal is to win the
2012 London Olympics.. ...; )

That poor lineswoman. She looked all shaken up after that and the crowd got into it.

I hope this goes 5 sets.

If the final can be half as amazing as this match I'll be thrilled.
They could have eaten through half of Italy and still have worked off all those calories the way they're running around. Unreal! |
