Can't wait. Probably one of the best new shows in the last year. Plus FX is in HD here so I'm set to see some jerk wad get his ink burned off in
crystal clarity.

I was going to bitch about the random way that the new uber-aryans were written in, but then they reminded me that this is a universe where the sheriff sits outside the hospital in broad daylight smoking a joint with a granny biker. Looks like Henry Rollins will give Katy Sagal some competition in the scenery-chewing department. He's kind of robotic, though. :pees |

Solid premiere. Nothing amazing, but I'm not worried, season 1 started off slowly too. I just hope this season picks up sooner then the first did.
I'd read spoilers about the ending, and I guessed that it would be A.J. raping Gemma. Still pretty crazy shit though. |

You know how actors talk about motivations that inspire them? Remember how last season Samcro hated the white power types...
I don't think Perlman has to dig too deep with his Jewish background, or his family to tap that. He is a tall dude, 6'2" or so, his kids are G-I-A-N-T-S.
P.S. Two viewings are required tonight, not one. Too giddy right now. |

wow. that was intense.
the end was crazy. the rape scene was brutal. sometimes when shows do rape scenes they seem kind of detached but this was in your face. for a network show to get a scene like that across, its surprising. FX is such a great channel. |

Concerning Henry's beady eyes through the mask, and his sort of apology during the attack on her.... talk about compounding the creep factor.
You just knew when she looked at his neckline tat, she will be looking at it again, when she personally blows his head off with a 12 gauge sometime this season. This is pretty much what it would take to make Jax and Clay equally homicidal. The body count will be unparalleled. Now, thoughts of the great casting and returning lesser players.... Bringing back Pileggi as the virtually deposed head of Charming's neo-nazis was very nice. I was so happy to see Agent Stahl back, swinging her 8" dick. I am so happy to see Deputy Chief Hale as a more complex and likable character. Despite his disdain for the SoAMC, he has lines he won't cross and ethics. I have done a 180 on him since early in the first season. Jeff Kober as Hale's brother is inspired casting.

Henry is amazing and perfectly cast on this.
I love Pileggi, hot hot man. That rape scene has been bothering me all morning, so i'd say it was effective as hell. Oh yeah, and seething love for Jeff Kober. |

FX's 'Sons of Anarchy' stuns -- huge ratings gain
The second season premiere hit a series high by a mile, growing 94% (!!!) in the adult demo compared to its first season premiere. "Sons" was seen by 4.3 million viewers and earned a 2.8 demo rating. That represents the largest season two premiere gain for any series in FX's history ("The Shield" returned to a 3% increase and "Nip/Tuck" had a 33% gain). This is great news for FX, a network that's doggedly stuck to its quality shows brand even as its veteran dramas have inevitably sagged and newer efforts have underwhelmed. For those looking to get into "Sons," or who checked out its lackluster pilot and dismissed the rest, here's a recommendation: start with episode seven. http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/09/fxs-sons-of-anarchy-stuns-huge-ratings-gain.html That's an ABSURD gain. 94%! WOO.

FX has clearly found its successor to The Shield. It's good timing too. Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me are in their twilight stages, and Damages isn't exactly
lighting up the ratings charts.

Nip/Tuck and Rescue me, next season will be their last. The Lawman with Tim O looks promising but this show is wicked good. I'm still a little disturbed.

The Truth Hurts wrote:YESSSS It's so true what they said about last season's pilot. I saw the pilot and was pretty bored with it.. but it kept getting better and better and I'm hooked now. Last night's episode was incredible. The rape scene was definitely effective, especially since Gemma's such a big character that the viewers (who watched last season at least) feel closer towards. I felt uncomfortable watching it, so it worked. As much as Clay & Jax are gonna go after them for what they did, it needs to be Gemma who actually kills the one that raped her. |

I am not surprised. I gave 5 people a set of episodes in the last few weeks, all of them were watching last night.
