The original title of the series was actually "Forever Sam Crow" before they eventually changed it to "Sons of Anarchy".

Don't feel bad. Redwood Original makes no sense. "Original 9" I can figure out.
I'm sure they will explain it someday, like "Men of Mayhem", as their patches read. I hope so. And I'm pretty sure Gemma is going to be OK after this "encounter" with the Neo-Nazi's. She will personally kill each and every one of those motherfuckers, but I'm sure the experience brought her back to her youth in the day. Before she was Clay's old lady. Regular club "good times" with club chicks and all. |

Jax's old man, and Opie's oxygen huffing Dad, Piney, founded Samcro in 1960s after they got back from Nam with 7 other members.
Charming is in redwood country (Northern Cali) The Reaper engraved table (from their backpatch logo) they sit at when convening club business, is made of a solid slab of Redwood. "Redwood Original" is a tag that seems to encompass both the original chapter, and specifically Clay and Piney, the last original members of the founding chapter. The Hells Angels have a similar mythology about the Oakland Chapter. |

Oh, and does anyone else think there will be "The Shield" crossovers since both series used the fictional gang, One-Niners? That and the fact this
series was created by one of The Shield's top writers?
If Antwon Mitchell were to show up as the parolled head of the one-niners, I'd pee myself.

I believe that THE SHIELD and SONS OF ANARCHY are in the same universe (even if Dutch bears a strong resemblance to a dead wacked-out ATF agent). I don't
think you'll see any major character/storyline crossover, but subtle connections like The One-Niners or references to characters or things that took place
on THE SHIELD.

Very pleased with the Season Two premiere! Looks like a lot of new storylines will be branching out and I'm sure even with all the new, the unresolved
issues from last season will come to a head by the end of this season. Lots to sink our teeth into.

Nazis, Niners, Mayans and SAMCROs being all Nazis, Niners, Mayans and SAMCROs... Yay! But Gemma being all stoic about the rape? No. Gemma, you know how these boys play. You know the story is going to get out. You think you can keep this a secret? No. And I don't get her thinking that she can. But then again, about secrets and Gemma and about how women think about secrets ... After deciding and schooling Tara about secrets she should demand from Jax, it's funny about the secrets that Gemma decides Tara should know and keep from Jax. Really? Fucking chicks. Seriously. Its all one way with y'all, ain't it. Your secrets are all good. But D.udes should have no fucking secrets from you. Fuck you, chicks. The only person I feel sorry for is the new housekeeper in the Morrow/Teller household for the baby Jax (have we seen her before?) She seems like a good, spiritual person. A kind soul. For those who don't know....
Big Otto, the leader of the jailed Sons of Anarchy crew, is also Mr Katey Sagal in real life AND the creator of the Sons of Anarchy series, Kurt Sutter. (The Shield fans may remember him as Margos Dezerian the Armenian who cut off peoples feet, AS WELL as being a writer on The Shield) He may just be my fav TV writer right now.

The thing I liked the best about this episode was Opie getting darker than even last week's episode. His dead man's walk through gunfire and his
execution style killing of the Mayans, point blank, was some serious badass shit.
He has gone from half assed reluctant member to stone cold killer. Bad Opie > all the other cast members. Tig's rolling the biker broad off him, and subsequently the bar, was possibly one of the funniest things I have ever seen on TV. |

The negro nanny looks familiar - I think she was the cook on Deadwood, she was with the guy who was looking to steal the claim off of the sheriff's junkie
lover - can't remember his name.
That was a funny pic of Ron Perlman a few pages back, I always thought he was the first generation in his family to walk erect - he is a total Neandertal - his kids look like cavemen too, he is a damn good actor, but he is probably the only actor who could star in a remake of Planet of the Apes and not need make-up for it...
