Except she forgot to notice the small fact that teenage girls are too busy twittering and Facebooking these days to watch TV. And when they do watch TV it's probably on YouTube. They don't sit down in front of the TV for hourlong shows anymore.

How she still has a job, I have no idea. Her brilliant plan for the network: "We don't need males or even women over the age of 30. We will build a TV
empire by going after the teenage girl demographic exclusively!"

I think the main problem with this and 90210 is the lighting and camera work. It looks like Gossip Girl or your typical CW show. They should have made them more old school. Otherwise when someone like me is flipping through channels I am going to speed right past these shows.^^^Right, because story, character development and acting have nothing to do with it?

Okay, hold everything.......I was just wasting some time perusing Wikipedia and came upon this little gem:
The CW, creators of the remakes of Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place, are currently planning a remake of Models Inc., scheduled to debut on The CW Plus June 25, 2010.I know it's from Wikipedia so, ya know, grain of salt and all that, but does anybody know if this is actually true??? I did a Google search and couldn't find anything... I made a joke in this thread WAY back when they announced the Melrose remake about how all they needed to do now was bring back Models Inc, but never in a million years did I think they actually would. |

I actually liked this.
My favorite is Ella like everyone else basically. I didn't think Ashlee Simpson was that bad actually. Riley is kinda boring but at least she's not annoying. Once the characters all have a few episodes to start getting out their true personalities I think it will be a lot better. I hope they get Heather Locklear to sign on for this. <3 <3 <3 |

My favorite character is the guy that burned those clothes. Only because he's Ericka Kane's aborted fetus.

I want that hour of my life back. What an insult to the original MP. I like Katie Cassidy but she can't carry that mess on her own. They should ax the
show, put her back on Supernatural and all will be in the world.

Maybe Brandon Jay MCLAREN will join this? He's to hot to not have a primetime show

Even though I loved it, Models, Inc. wasn't exactly successful the first time. A total revamp however, actually fits on the CW network. Plus they wouldn't need to pander to old fans of the show since no one really remembers who everyone was the first time. Carrie Ann Moss could guest star as Trinity instead of her old role and no one would know the difference. My point is all three of these shows look the same. The young teenagers/lighting/cameras. If you don't watch the show, you won't know which one is on. When Melrose was on before you KNEW. For me, the distinction for Melrose was in the old days was that the cast (for the most part) did look older than the 90210 cast. A lot of them did look like late 20'somethings. In this edition, with the exception of Augie (I think the actor really is in his 30's), this cast could pass for what CW is trying to pass off as teenagers on it's other shows. I think the older cast worked for Melrose (if they were older) as the actors seemed more experienced. The original Melrose got panned for it's acting, but the success of it's castmembers post-Melrose speaks for itself. The acting so far seems adequate, but we haven't really had any crazy scenes yet so it's hard to tell. |

I actually liked it and will be tuning in again as I have nothing to watch on Tuesdays except for the Hills. This is right in line with that trash.
Ella was my fav of course but I really liked everyone except for Ashlee's character, who is irritating even beyond who she is played by, and Michael Mancini's son, who is just fugly to me. And he's an art thief? Seriously? that was so wtf. |

Ratings for the first eppy are in. It lost a chunk of viewers from the 90210 lead-in:
http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2009/09/09/ratings-melrose-place-90210/ And there's a multi-page article for the show in the print edition of Entertainment Weekly this week (Fall TV Preview), but I didn't instantly find a link to it online. Models Inc. is even addressed in said article. When Heather Locklear returns, they are SO going to have everyone quit their jobs and eventually work for the ad agency, or the restaurant where Augie works, like everyone worked at Shooter's or for Amanda in the original. "Jane, I know you're just a dress designer, but come be an ad executive for me." "Alison, I know you used to be an ad executive, and now you're serving drinks at Jake's bar." Spoiler from the article |

Much better than the first episode! A lot of the theories on here were right. But now it seems too obvious that Violet is the killer.
