Another question would be "In Survivor: THAILAND, EPISODE 5, was there going to be a switch if anyone opted to mutiny?"

Since it was only vaguely touched upon, I re-ask my question:
I wasn't watching when the show first aired, so I have this question: did Burnett intend for the show to take a more strategic, alliance-filled route? Or did he think people would actually vote based on who was the best at surviving, and alliances and such were an unforseen development? And what was the opinion of the viewing public when alliances began forming? Did people expect/want them to form, or were they shocked/outraged? |

Personally I believe he intended the show to proceed on a worthiness/out-doors quality level stuff. I don't believe he intended (or at first, wanted)
Alliances......
Starting in Survivor Season 1, episode 5, the Pagong Tribe KNEW that the Tagi's were going to vote them out one-by-one by combining up their votes against them. Now, how would the Pagong's KNOW THAT? Was Richard and his people flat out telling them what they were going to the Pagongs during challenges, which is the only time they would have had to interact with them? I mean it is one thing when we see Jenna/Colleen/Gervis talking about getting 'pagonged' in later episodes But when we see them discussing it in epiosdes that could not have been taken out of context of timeline; where we see Joel Klugg talking about how they should do the same thing to the Tagi's, and so on. I believe that Burnett and his people were horrified by this possibility of what they were doing ,and notified the Pagong's in hopes that they would do the same thing as a way of countering what Tagi was going to do. |

Camera man told Jenna that Jenna was in danger, resulting oust of Joel. Greg and Colleen apparently were unsure and v then voted against Jeff Probst. They
changed their minds and made a mistake voting against Jenna.

There was some kind of communication between the tribes in Borneo. I can't remember who it was, but someone on Pagong had a confessional about how they
heard Tagi caught fish and how that would affect them in challenges.

and candy wrapping.. a lot of them..
That is partly reason why Susan quit so early. Entitlement didn't exist in All-Stars. |

Yeah, they knew that Pagong's were eating Rat's in their camp. I remember Sue mentioned it.
I saw an interview with Mark Burnett where he mentioned how easy he was on Season 1 cast because he was afraid people would quit so production went VERY easy on them. Season 2 changed all that now that they knew EVERYONE was watching. |

Random question I always wondered...
When Ozzy voted Tracy out in FvF, he said in his vote "And you owe me a grand." Wondered what that was about. Anyone know? |

I always figured she'd said at one point "1000 bucks says I outlast you [or said "Ozzy" if she didn't say it to him] in this game."
or something similar, but I could be wrong.

People from that season have posted here themselves and described it: a "summer camp"-like structure, with walls, a roof, a bathroom and beds, but otherwise very basic. I have heard their food described and it was NOT steak and lobster. That's my entire point- there should have been camera crew covering the Outcast Tribe's goings on as they continued "in the game" on whatever beach they were put into. It would have confirmed to us the fans that they were not "living large". Because they did not, I am not willing to believe their stories about their living conditions until I see otherwise. Clip shows have never shown us things that happened "outside the game". Only since they started showing the "Ponderosa" clips in the past few seasons, did we even know what happened to them after their torches were snuffed. And, S7 had a double episode, which took up any "extra" episode they might have had. That plus other issues with that season (the grandmother lie, Osten quitting, and RUPERT-worship) made that season very different in many, many ways from other seasons. For the record, the reason we have never been shown anything about the Outcast Tribe is that they were forced to put their clothes in a plastic bag, which was probably kept on a balcony so they would appear "wet/used". the "limited rations" were probably they were put on a 2000/3000 calorie diet in order to keep their appearance that they were roughing it (which was far more then Morgan tribe for sure and probably even Drake Tribe was getting). We living in the resort, sleeping in beds with hot showers, etc; TV, etc.Blah blah blah...Lill herself posted on here for awhile, and I believe it was she who actually posted photos of the Outcast lodgings. It was, as I described, a simple building with a bunch of summer camp-style beds, kind of overlooking a no-frills beach. Search back far enough and you should find Lill's posts--I am thinking it was around 2005. And don't you remember the famous story of how Lill was voted back in because Michelle and (especially) Nicole got tired of having to live with her in that setting? If it were a "5-star hotel" as you claim, they wouldn't have cared, because they wouldn't have had to be around her all the time. They have shown a few clips, occasionally, of production area and with the goings on of people that have been voted out.Only since the "Ponderosa" series beginning in Fans vs Faves, by which time the whole "you're going HOME" myth was well broken. Pearl Islands was 5 years before that. |

Summer Camp like Structure+Walls+Roof+Beds+Bathroom+Production granted food = NOT SURVIVOR.
That is definitely better then what Morgan Tribe was living under. That is NOT Survivor. And they wondered why the Outcast Tribe was not 'accepted' by fans or players alike. The Outcast Tribe should have been kept in Survivor-like conditions, including shelter, food, etc. In fact, that little beach that the tribes got put on that night that Fairplay 'won' his dubious RC with Thunder D, that should have been the same beach they were exiled to, and Burton and Lill could have even shown everyone their shelter there, etc, etc. Assuming what you are saying is true, then it sounds like that was done in order to keep the OutCast Tribe at full strength phyically and mentally in order to their best when they returned to the game. Sorry, but anything less then a complete Survivor like experience is not what it should have been. But it does answer the question of why there was no clip show showing what the OutCast Tribe was living under. |

The whole concept of bringing back players who are already voted out, is not survivor.

I have another one.
Does anyone know the reason with the strange rift between Sally and Danielle in Exile Island. I watched the insider clip of Sally getting voted off. Pretty much everyone voted her off saying some form of "we love you...its not personal." Then Danielle in her vote, says in a really cold snotty voice saying "I don't trust you." |

Had Elizabeth or Colleen continued on with the casting process for ASS its speculated Amber would not have been casted.I did not make that up. Why would you think I "just made it up", just because you don't like it? Kelly was not cut for Shii-Ann, she was cut for Amber so that Amber and Rob could continue their fledgling romance. If you don't like it, too fucking bad. |

If its so true then why don't you prove it instead of hiding behind your aggressive vocabulary?
