I just finished "The last time they met" by Anita Shreve
The whole book had me enthralled, and the end was a gut-puncher. I won't spoil it for anyone, but damn. I didn't see that coming. has anyone else read it? thoughts? |

LOL, kp.
Do you ever do that with a book, then go back and read the whole thing?? I'll look for testimony. I also read a review of this book, and her other - "The weight of water" - was recommended highly. |

i am in my second attempt at Seaglass, but i havent picked it up in 2 weeks
but all too often i skip to the end of a book i am reading. I usually go back and pick up where i left off once i find the answer i was looking for. I just did this with Admission by Jean Hanff Korelitz and i still really liked the book. if you are in or about to be in the applying to college zone, it's very interesting |

I recently read "Love's Pursuit" by Siri Mitchell. Parts made my heart race and others brought tear.s to my eyes. It was a good book.

Just finished T.C. Boyle's Drop City.
Loved it. Now on to A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson. |

I just finished The Worst Day of My Life So Far by MA Harper. It started out with great promise and then just became a study in depression -- not
exactly a ringing endorsement. Next up, March by Geraldine Brooks.

^^ I thought the book was very sad. Well written, but damn depressing.
So I never saw the movie. |

ilikelissie wrote: YAY!!! That is one of my very most all time favorite books. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. Which reminds me -- the last time I posted here I was reading A Voyage Long and Strange by Tony Horwitz. I really enjoyed it. If you like Bill Bryson's stuff, you would probably also like this book. Plus, you'll learn cool stuff. I started The Lost Symbol over the weekend. I know there are lots of Dan Brown haters here, but so far I'm entertained so you can just suck it. |

So far it's pretty funny.
You can just tell the guy he's bringing with him is going to a total ruiner. |
