The one thing that could have made the finale so much better: A cameo by Winona Ryder as Silas' cougar GF Heather who takes Pilar out with a crouqet
mallet. Gold, I tell ya.

Seriously. This is the same Shane that in season 1 made his own "terrorist demand" video for school. PSYCHO SHANE is one of the few consistencies
between last season and season 1. I hope they make their way back to AGRESTIC, because this show has been needing Conrad and Heylia for a while.

this show has been needing Conrad and Heylia for a while. My nephew waited on Romany Malco in a restaurant and chatted him up, and he was all like "I'm so glad I'm not on the show anymore, it's a mess"-kind of deal. Just sayin'. |

If no Conrad, at LEAST Heylia. She was my early fave.

Heylia used to keep Nancy in check. No Heylia --> Bad Nancy!

The show is running it's course and grasping for straws at this point. Shane coming into his own as a psychopath is one of the most interesting story lines
that they have left. They do need to use Isabelle more. She's comedy gold. The show now seems like two different shows: dark drama with Nancy and her
family and then comedy with the rest of the cast. They were only intertwined between Silas and Doug with the shop and now that's gone and took Celia with
it. That part of the show looks like it will be funny as fuck when it comes back but the rest of the cast is held hostage by that soul sucking story line of
Nancy's. Maybe in the series finale they will have Shane kill Nancy. He's got plenty of reasons so the story line possibilities are endless.

Aaaaaah! I finally got to watch. Spectacular! If anyone has forgotten Strange Botwin's past:
We knew Shane had it in him. Sure, up until season 5, Strange Botwin has been the "good kid" to brother Silas' derelict, but there was a major role reversal all season - Silas is now a responsible business owner while just last week we saw 14-year-old Shane swill red wine and pull a knife on teenage Spanish-speakers who unwisely chose to use heroin under his roof. The show's always suggested a dark and dangerous mind beneath Shane's usually placid exterior. "I've got rage in me," he matter-of-factly told the school therapist after composing this rather threatening bitch-ass white boy "rap." He bit that kid's foot in karate class (which, if you think about it, very indirectly makes Shane responsible for Weeds' entire post-Agrestic border situation, but let's not dwell on that; this is supposed to be a glowing review) and does anyone remember when he beheaded a little girl in a homemade terrorism video? Action-based memories are fun, and there are plenty more, but the essence of Shane comes most alive in the modest form of his trademark silent death-glare (pictured above, awww). Tally up his hundreds of stewing stare sessions and suddenly, finally, WHACK! It was all leading up to this - the little boy who conversed with his dead father, treasured a nudie pic of his mother, and told his graduating class "you have failed us all"would eventually snap, in the most fortuitous (for the Botwins) way possible. Shane, we salute your badasserie(pronounced "bahhh-doss-ay-REE" by Tyra) and thank you for the last-minute restoration of our faith in Weeds. Since you killed her, they will grow. |

Not to mention having a threesome with those two girls in his middleschool class

I agree that Shane has always had this dark side to him, but still, this show isn't what used to be. Jenji missed a lot of potential by jumping the shark.
The only thing that made me actually laugh was Celia impersonating Nancy.

Most boys have a dark side, I built gas bombs and pipe bombs as a preteen. I grew out of it, and never killed or hurt anyone... other than temporarily
affecting my hearing.
I had a friend who wrote school mass murder stories years before Columbine. Boys do that. Then they grow up and become good citizens and smack the stupid out of their own sons for doing exactly what they did decades earlier. So the cycle of affected males continues. |

meh - I try not to take the show too seriously or think it out too much...that way it's always good. Just caught up on the final two episodes and did not
see that finale coming! I still love it. I remember when I could not believe it could go on without Conrad, but it has, and so have I. I will definitely be
tuning in next season.

This show def. jumped shark once U-Turn was killed off.
I still enjoy the show but find it difficult to accept the fact this show is so far off base from where it originally started. I guess that's just what happens during the course of a tv show's run. Weeds & Desperate Housewives had phenomenal first seasons...only to become a hot mess after their 3rd seasons. Same thing happened with Melrose Place in the 90's. The storylines are a bit too farfetched at this point, but I've grown to love the characters. So, basically I'm watching it for that reason, to see how the characters evolve. Though, Doug needs to die. Shane & Lupita <3 |

I don't think this show has jumped the shark at all. As long as Andy, Celia and Shane are on it, it's still awesome IMO.

You can think what you want, but Weeds has definitely jumped the shark. A great white, in fact.

For me shows like Breaking Bad, United States of Tara & True Blood make Weeds pale in comparison. I still watch and enjoy Weeds, but it's not as good
as seemed a few years ago when it had less competition for my attention. I still LOVE the Shane, Celia & Isabelle story lines though... they are the real
the reason I continue to watch. I was sick of Nancy after the 2nd season.

I agree that it jumped the shark, but Jenji could have ended the season with them returning to Agrestic and pick up from there. She just doesn't want to
admit she's painted herself into a corner and has no where to take the story. I really hope the rumors of next season being the last are true.
