I thought it was a pretty good start. Leonard's whiny voice makes my ears bleed.

Laurie = Leonard and Christine - Sheldon. Interesting dynamic.

Characters having sex after building the sexual tension is one of the common reasons for a show to jump the shark. That's just great.

So after three months she hasn't dated anyone and is just hanging around waiting for the geek to return. NOPE. I really expected him to find her in the apartment with someone else. Someone even nerdier than Leonard (if that's possible) would have been comedy gold.

They don't work as a couple and I don't think many fans particularly want them together in the first place. Now that it's over and done with, Leonard can move on and it won't be a plot point. Which is a very good thing.
