Why would you ever willingly do this? I've worn contacts for years and I always take them out when I go to sleep. I've fallen asleep with them on
before and when I wake up they're dry and crusty. Do you wear hard contacts or summat? Or are you just too POOR/LAZY to take 10 seconds of your time to
remove them and squirt solution into the case? I'm not trying to be mean but this is rather appalling. One day you'll wake up with holes in your eyes,
srsly.

My contacts are super comfy and I forget they're in half the time. I'm askeert of the surgery and have seen some bad outcomes, too. |

No, not at all funny. Both can't drive at night at all and one can't wear contacts anymore. Both have worse vision.
I know of many more successful outcomes and these are a smaller percentage, but with my luck I'd end up in the worse vision heap. |

There are decades of statistics on corneal reshaping.RK began in the 1970s and LASIK has been FDA approved in the US since the early 1990s. It's not as if this is new. Trixie, it totally depends on where you go to have it done. I would NEVER go to one of those places in a strip mall that advertises that it does hundreds of cases a week. The best thing to do is go to a corneal specialist who does the surgery. They are much more careful and particular with follow up care. My husband and I both did that about 5 years ago and have never had a problem and was the best decision ever. It totally flattens your cornea though, so no, you most likely won't be able to wear contacts again. |

I don't sleep in my contacts. They go in after my morning shower and come out after my evening shower. I have a couple pairs of glasses, and one pair is my
designated bed glasses. I usually fall asleep and end up sleeping on them.

Bacteria issues aren't even the worst thing that can happen from leaving your contacts in too long. You can cut of the air supply to your eyes that will
actually cause increased growth of blood vessels as your body attempts to get oxygen to the eye that is normally received through the air.
You can damage your eyes permenatly and can ruin your chances of ever being a candidate for lasik. |

GAH -- no, never.
My eyes are super sensitive and super dry so I wear daily disposables. They usually annoy the crap out of me by about 9 pm so I remove them and toss them in the trash. I have a friend who wears her 2 week contacts 24/7 for about 3 months. My eyes would be as red and as large as beefsteak tomatoes. |

I never wear them when I sleep. I am too afraid they will stick to my cornea. I have heard too many horror stories about that. My teen just started wearing
contacts and I was so afraid to let him wear them. He isn't allowed to sleep in them either. What was surprising to me was the doctor he saw was really
relaxed about how many hours he should wear them - when I was always told to wear them as little as possible. Mainly because your eyes need oxygen.
